Resume Format Tip - Functional vs. Chronological

I do want to create a functional resume because of a gap. I want to create a functional resume due to changes, and it has eliminated opportunities for me. By collecting my skill set is what is more impotent. Again, I am not hiding a gap, I am working to get over not being contacted because of three job changes in the las 5 years due to the economy. Your video assumes one reason, it would be good to hear your response on my objective of using a functional resume.
