  • if I buy Pod Farm 2.5 Standalone and save a patch with FX (distortion and delay let's say), will I be able to load into reason the patch with the distortion and delay, or only the cabinets & amps will work?

  • @AORNOfficial Distortion and delay will also work - all effects you use will work. You just can't edit them within Reason (or Record), but the patch will sound the same.

  • And...That's why ive subscribed. AWESOME! Ya'll are COUNTRY! You make me so happy. :-)

  • @JoystixMusic I just saw this comment. I love it! Thanks! :-)

  • So can you loop without a pedal in reason. For instance you pick your start and ending point for your loop and then play and it automatically loops?

  • @emef44 That is correct - just set the Left and Right markers, and turn on the Loop button. You will only hear the current take (the loop pass currently being recorded), and whatever other tracks are in your song. When you are done recording, all of the takes (each pass through the loop) will be editable.

  • hey i have pod farm 2.5 platnium and none of the amps.

so do i need to download this to make it work and come all together?

  • @EpiphoneLPJrGuitar Not sure what you are asking. Do you already own Record as well?

  • @line6movies do u mean if i own propeller yet?

and if yes then no i ve yet to dl it but ive got pod farm. and i was will propeller make something i record some good?

  • @EpiphoneLPJrGuitar If you purchase Record Reason Duo you will have everything shown in this video. If you purchase before September 30, later when Reason 6 comes out on September 30, you will receive a free upgrade to Reason 6 (which will include all the Record features plus several improvements, new features, and new sounds). This software is very good for recording guitar and for producing music in general.

  • If I already have a mixing desk, but I then buy A POD, could I run the pod through the desk? It's just that I don't want have to be switching between that and the mixer all the time, the mixer I have a behringer xenyx 1204usb

  • @SamForrestTube Yes, you can connect the outputs of the POD Studio audio interface (or other POD device) to a pair of inputs on your Behringer. You could also connect outputs from the Behringer to the line inputs on a POD Studio interface if you wanted to.

  • Question: I have an iLok and I am about to buy Pod Farm 2. If I do, can I just use my patches in Pod Farm in the Line6 Rack in Record?

  • @erett2000 You can (except for dual tone patches). But you will not be able to do much editing of those patches in the Line 6 Device in Record. Still best to edit them in POD Farm. But loading and playing through them works just fine in the Line 6 device in Record.

  • @line6movies well i downloaded the trial and because i don't have a line6 interface i guess i can't get any sounds? i mean i have an ilok and a very expensive interface so i dont see why i cant just use that?

  • @erett2000 I assume you mean that you downloaded the 15-day free trial of POD Farm 2 for iLok. That does not require a Line 6 interface. It does require that you run POD Farm within your DAW as a plug-in (RTAS, VST, or AU). The standalone version requires a Line 6 interface. The installer probably installed both, and you are trying to run the standalone version that works with Line 6 hardware. Please try locating POD Farm in your DAW's plug-in list and run it that way.

  • @line6movies My previous answer assumed that you have another DAW besides Record (such as Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, etc.). If not, then the answer to your original question "can I just use my patches in Pod Farm in the Line6 Rack in Record?" remains yes. You can open the file browser for the Line 6 device in Record, and browse to the folder where the POD Farm patches are stored, and load those into Record's Line 6 rack device, without ever launching POD Farm at all.

  • @line6movies Cool. i got that working great. I was jut curious if I could make patches in pod farm and then open them in record. I guess that's a no unless I get a line6 which I am thinking about now.

  • What does "missing models" mean? It said this when i tried this... So it didnt work for me? I Have an Toneport UX2 first generation.

  • @tobleronasahliv You saw "missing models" on the red Line 6 Amp in Record? The missing models thing would happen if you recorded a project using, say, a UX 8 (which unlocks all the models that come with POD Farm Platinum), and later opened the same project without UX 8 connected (UX 2 comes with fewer amp models). Still, you would hear sound, because Record would make substitutions for you. Try launching Line 6 Monkey with UX 2 connected, and see if there's anything that needs to be authorized.

  • I am having a huge problem and can't record with reason. my tool window does not include the devices selection and I can't add any audio tracks. please help me. I am using the line 6 ux2

  • @alalange You need to have Propellerhead Record software in addition to Reason in order to record audio. Either Reason 4.0 + Record 1.0, or Reason 5.0 + Record 1.5.

  • @line6movies

so the reason adapted disc my ux2 came with is completely useless without record?

  • @alalange The Reason Adapted software included for free with your UX 2 does exactly what it claims to do, which is to be a light version of Reason MIDI sequencing software, which has always recorded MIDI only and has never recorded audio tracks. To do what is shown in the video, you do need full versions of Reason and Record.

  • If you have a cakewalk by Roland interface, can you run pod farm stand alone or do you have to run it through a Line6 hardware? on record.

  • @tbird5446 Sorry for the huge delay in responding- never saw this post for some reason. POD Farm standalone only works with Line 6 hardware.

  • this is even possible with audacity :P

  • @locohellraiser Yes, if you have Line 6 hardware and own POD Farm. :)

  • I just bought the UX2 and can't export any tracks I record in riffworks, or songs that I mix to wav format, into ableton or reason adapted? I thought I'd be able to at least put the tracks in ableton and record vocals over them. Am I doing something wrong?

  • @thestonejar What action do you take, and where does the error occur? You press RiffWorks' "Export" button, and choose one of the .wav options, not the .rwr option, right? Is a .wav file exported? Do you try to import it into Ableton and it doesn't work? Ableton should be able to import any .wav file, as far as I know.

Reason Adapted will not import .wav files. It is a MIDI sequencing application and does not record or import audio.

    I hope this helps.

  • @line6movies that was very helpful! I didn't know about the export function on Riffworks. After running that function, I just go to "open" in ableton and go from there? Thanks a millioN!

  • @thestonejar Actually you would locate the .wav file in the file browser on the left of the Ableton Live window, and drag the file into a slot on an audio track in the Session view, or onto the timeline of an audio track in the Arrangement view. (Click TAB to toggle between the two views.) If you need more help figuring this out, I suggest clicking "Read the Live Manual" in the "Help" menu in Ableton Live, as a shortcut to familiarizing yourself with the operation of the software.

  • @line6movies P.S. Does ableton support vst's like superior drummer? Could I use it to record drums via midi with an electric kit if it does?

  • @thestonejar yes and yes. :)

  • @line6movies thanks so much for the help again. This program can really do a fair amount of tracking, Superior drummer plus the pod farm platinum and I can't get any bass, vox, guitar and drum tones I need to make a pretty decent sounding demo. Some of my recordings from this rival my friend's bands that went into a much more expensive studio rig to record there demos. Touchet

  • if i wanna to buy this ux8..is it comes with record n edit software?

  • @miedragonlord Hi miedragonlord-- Sorry I didn't see your comment until just now. It comes with Ableton Live Lite, as well as POD Farm Platinum 2.

  • does this work for pod x3? not the live one just the desktop one!!! plz respond

  • @busterboxer86 Yes, is works with POD X3 (desktop). You may also want to watch the video entitled: "Propellerhead Record + Line 6 POD X3 Live. " You can follow those instructions with your POD X3 as well.

  • hey man, is there any aplication or program that alowes me to have cero latency or near cero latency in my PC? I have no interface, but i'm working to buy one...

so, can you tell me if there is something to resolve my latency problem??

    Thanks for your help dude!

  • @SergioWW1WW2 Using ASIO4All with your built-in sound card may improve your latency somewhat. The technique shown in the video (with a Line 6 audio interface monitoring through POD Farm) is the lowest latency for tracking real instruments / vocals I've experienced on a PC (short of a multi-thousand dollar Pro Tools HD rig).

  • @SergioWW1WW2 Another good thing is to mess around with the sample buffer size to see what is the minimum you can get before it starts clipping. ASIO3ALL rocks and you can experiment with the buffer size.

  • nice video, im also using toneportGX and also im using sonar, im new of this PODfarm? can u help?is this downloadable,is there any demo or trial version of this so that i could try? thanks

  • @yesterdaysview If you have an iLok, there is a 15-day free trial that can be downloaded from the Line 6 website. The iLok version only works as a plug-in and will not work standalone. For the basic version of POD Farm 2 (original POD Farm shown in this video is no longer sold) that works with TonePort GX (and works standalone or as a plug-in), the cost is $49. (POD Farm 2 Platinum is $249.) The non-iLok versions I just mentioned have 30-day money-back guarantees, and are downloadable.

  • Pod Farm you say...? Do I need this? WTF is it?

  • POD Farm is amp/cabinet/preamp/effects emulation software. The iLok version works in Pro Tools, Cubase, Live, Logic, GarageBand, Sonar, etc. The ToneDirect (standalone) version shown in the video is a special treat for owners of the Line 6 recording interfaces shown in the video. iLok version owners not using Line 6 interfaces can still open POD Farm presets in Record, but they can't monitor through POD Farm while recording with Record in the way shown in the video.
