The first time Gilmour played publicly with them, at Aston University, UK, most of the people who came did actually walk out when they found they couldn't dance to the music. The five Floyd members did a full length gig for the about 30 of us that stayed. It was awesome!

Wow what a blast from the past ! ! ! We used to look like that, dance like that even here in Salt Lake City ! ! ! Santana used to love to play here where we had this fabulous Ballroom from the Big Band Era called "The Terrace Ballroom." It's long since been torn down . . . jerking tears here . . . I need to ask my friends, but I think Pink Floyd played there, though I didn't see them . . . !

@Justen1980 No, there are plenty of youtube videos of Zappa and the Mothers of Invention from '67. Hot Rats was recorded 1969. So they were contemporary.
