@Chatlein strong activity in the Atlantic Ridge is fueling Hierro and Europe at the moment. Volcanoes are the earths natural venting system, and needs new volcanoes to assist in releasing the heat that's building pressure deep within the earth

@thebarcaroller, thank you for your reply. It seems that there is a new vulcano that erupted, under water, on a valley south El Hierro. Checking the antipodes, that's an area that has been shaking a lot in the late times...

I'm sure you have mentioned before but how long does this particular sun cycle last for and what is your feeling regarding a 9.5+ earthquake during this cycle?

@johnw456 the sun's poles flip every 11 years so solar activity will continue to step up till mid 2013, as for 9.5+ very unlikely and anyone claiming these sorts of numbers should be ignored completely and treated as a few cards short of a full deck.
