Great band! I'm loving the guitar work on the original. Has a little Eagles sound to it with some kick ass added in for good measure. Hope they put out a record.
I'm not really sure if the Clark Brothers were better, but I think that the fact that it came down to Sixwire and the Clark Brother is great, they were the best bands. However, I think all the struggling that Sixwire talks about is over, they're gonna get a good record deal. Can't wait for their CD, I might even go see them in concert. Steve's a great guitar player.
Clark Brothers owned the show... but Sixwire definitely deserves to be heard on the radio. The Brothers were just too cool, though. Too cool for words. I know during one performance, Ashley seemed to be yelling, but other than that, he was amazing... goosebumps amazing. Good luck to these guys, too, though... but America got it right. Nobody could touch The Clarks Bros.
clark brothers were clear winners from the start. the amount of passion they bring to the playing and singing is unreal. just watch as the lead of clark brothers sing and the lead of sixwire. its nowhere close
meh. The clark brother alway finishes in the same style. He always sings the last word of the song and repeats it 2 more times and screams the last time. The clark brothers are good, but sixwires guitars, bass, vocals and drums are much more superior. It's not all about the vocals you know...
I laugh at the comments that compare light of Doom to these guys. I admit at first I was on the light of doom Bandwagon but looking at it objectively, these guys are polished pro's wheares LOD are still learning and sound immature in spite of their age
You know, I was pretty shocked when Sixwire beat Light of Doom out here. YES I KNOW Sixwire has more talent, and I respect that. I do. They are better as a group than Light of Doom because they're much older and have had more time to hone their skills. But, my surprise came from the (supposed) fact that Light of Doom has an absolutely huge fanbase. I'm glad Sixwire made it so far, though, 'cause they are the band to beat! Much love and music~
I would buy cds from all 3 bands and If Sixwire does not win then that just means the clark bros and DMHO have more fans then them it does not mean it is a fake show. I hope to hear all 3 bands one day on Christian Radio.
Sixwire will (and deserves to) win. Denver and the Mile High Orchestra is my favorite band. I do NOT get why the judges are so enamored with the Clark Brothers. Instrumentally, they're proficient enough, I suppose, but the lead singer just screams a lot. I did like their original, "Country Time," though, maybe the dobro player's got a future as a Nashville song writer.
I loved Sixwire's version of "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight." When I moved home after 9 years of being gone from my home state I called and left that song on my high school sweetheart's answering machine. I got over him, but still love the song. I would definitely buy their albums, but no one else who's left on the show. The Clark Brothers play their instruments well but I don't care for his voice too much.
Sixwire is good, but The Clark Brothers are great. I'd buy CDs from both bands. Anyone who thinks The Clark Brothers are any good has limited taste in music. I wouldn't be upset if either band won.
Did anybody notice that all three of the remaining bands are based in Nashville, Tennessee? It's called The Music City for a reason. The most talented musicians hone their craft there; the biggest, most established stars recharge their love of music there, what an American treasure.
yes but the clark brothers dont have real talent. one of them just plays an unnusual instrument, with no real skills (hes not bad, just not really good). the other two. all they do is strumming on accoustic. and theyre singer, ugh. he sucks. no creativity. in the top 3, 2 of his song, he didnt say more then 10 different words.
if they beat sixwire, america has definately lost it's taste.
"Unnusual" instrument? The dobro is not unusual, but the level of playing certainly is.
"Strumming on accoustic"? Must have been watching a different show... what I'VE seen is great picking on both guitar and mandolin, and exceptional fiddle playing...
America has lost 'it is' taste? It's ITS when you use it as a possessive... enough said, I believe...
PEACE EVERYONE. i was posting my opinion, its not definately true, i may feel aversion towards the clark brothers but no harsh feelings. sixwire owns all
If it applies, what is the problem? I assure you flaming me is NOT in your best interest. Keep it up and I will only make you look like more of a spacker than you already are.
You both make me laugh. IQ of 175? What's that have to do with anything? I bet you IQ is the same as room temperature in kelvins. GwenNguyen is totally right on this. The jury was totally set on the clarks from the get go. And If you saw some good picking on those guitars you probably never played one yourself. Because just hammering 3 chords on a guitar isn't good picking. And by hammering I mean just forcing your arm down on the strings so fast that no real rithm is made.
I felt during the competition, and to this day, that Sixwire could have ensured a win if only they'd done an Eagles cover.

franklin bridge was good too i dont understand why the got off so fast though do u

Yeah, Franklin Bridge was the best. Their lead guitarist could shred, and their drummer and bassist played lightening fast!
