At 4:41 I swear there should be a section where there's a place with guards patrolling, with a building in the middle, a helicopter at the back and use-able turret guns covering the entrances. I was looking forward to seeing how you did that part but it's not in it. Instead, it goes straight to the Ocelot boss battle.

I think you mean subsistence (substance was for MGS2) and the difference is, subsistence came with an online disc (Metal gear online) and extras (such as theatre mode/special vs mode) that came with the PAL version, but not on the US version.

You dont get it. The PAL version of snake eater has Theatre mode and Special VS mode. The US version doesn't. But if you buy subsistence, the extra disc has those modes on it.

no I bought the 3-disk set of the mgs series 1 2 and 3 but all the games came with 1 disks

It's a prequel to the metal gear series that just happened to be made third. It goes MGS3, MGSPO,MG1,MG2,MGS1,MGS2,MGS4. It kind of confusing.

no mate its not a case of skill. you seriously cant do that part the way he did it with an index like that, the dogs spot you and theres a guard that would hear you run past. i tried doing it EXACTLY the way he does it to see if its possible, and its just not. your welcome to try it yourself. and its not just that part either... there are inconsistencies throughout the whole speed run. this guy DEFINATELY cheated using a cheat disk on some parts of the speed run. he just hides it well.

Loved how he did the Ocelot Unit, thats absolutley amazing! Also can you make any kills throughout the game and still get Stealth Camo or do you have to have no kills? And can you get it on any Difficulty?

Very nice...I thought the door to the face was a nice touch. Although apart from that its nothing i've seen before...I CANT WAIT FOR MGS4! Seriously, this game is definitely one of my favourites of all time...I love the jungle aspect of snake eater...brilliant. Nice work btw on this run through. :)

they do hear you running, but they don't necessarily respond instantaneously-there's always the classic mgs 'What was that noise?' moment of hesitation(which makes no sense but eh). Besides they only hear you running if you're pretty close, like 1-3 metres or so, if that. So yeah.

This is by far the hardest part in the entire game on Euro Extreme; 10 Ocelot Unit soldiers, No Alert, No Kills. Insane. I'm still working on it myself.
