Hi, I saw ur acrostic poem but am confused. What do you u mean by acrostic? I thought that aside crosswords in newspapers & the like that an acrostic poem was like a palindrome though (of course being more than one word) whose initial letters (of each line) make a word/s when read downwards. An acrostic might use the middle line (mesostich) or final (telestich) letter of each line. For example, a famous all-around acrostic is:
Acrostic in the sense of the second letter of each line spelling out the title. It's a little different from other acrostic poems, I realize. I wrote it for a contest at allpoetry a few years ago. This style of acrostic wasn't necessarily my idea. It was a user by the name of Tink/Elevens-Rae who thought this style up. I just wrote the poem in that style.
My summer is going great so far, thanks. Yeah, you're right that shorter poems can say more than longer ones. I guess it all depends on the word choice and how much imagery is used in the poem. Hope your summer is going well, too. :)
I haven't heard that quote. I wouldn't be surprised if that quote were true for some people, though. Some lyric poems I can usually write in the time frame of half an hour. I think it depends more on the style and form of poetry I'm writing rather than the length of the poem itself that makes it take longer to write. :)
I write lyrics once in awhile, but I'm more into writing poems these days. As far as singing goes, I have tried singing in videos that I posted months ago, but I don't think they are any good. I'm a terrible singer. :P

Any ideas?

I can't remember who said it, but there was a famous writer who said that the shorter the piece he was writing, the longer it took to write.
