Solved. Gail committed suicide in a hotel (registered under a false name) in Mobile, Alabama within a few days after disappearing. After the broadcast, a forensic administrator who had been watching noticed the similarities to a woman found in the hotel 2 years earlier.
I'd really like to know the statistics of the amount of people who were killed or disappeared because of answering personal ads in the paper....the figure must be astounding. I'm not saying she deserved what happened to her, but she should have been more careful, especially with kids at home depending on her. Finding a man isn't worth dying over.
@Dayziecat I don't think it's as high as we would be led to believe. When you look at the amount of people who met others via personal ads and the amount that came across foul play I bet it's a fairly small percentage. It's just like this generation and the Internet. It only takes a few instances of misfortune in the news for it to become general opinion, ya know? Besides, they said she killed herself. But you're right, finding a significant other is NOT worth dying over.
After watching quite a few of these stories, I have to conclude that the police in the States are terrible. There's always someone who finds evidence that the cops didn't find. Isn't part of their job to search the crime scene?! There's just so many times when the cops either don't do their job, or don't do it right. Brutal to think how many of these "Unsolved Mysteries" are only unsolved because law enforcement dropped the ball.
Somehow Part 15 of this Disc was deleted by me by mistake. I don't know how long it has been down but I noticed it today while just skimming through the discs. It is uploaded now so you can look for it to finish the disc. Sorry about that guys.
Alright I'm sorry to say this but I feel nothing for this Gail lady. Sitting there worried about having a man. Well suck it up wimp and enjoy the life and the two sons you were blessed to have. Give me a break, I know what depressions does to people. I was on antidepressants for 4 yrs and once I went to talk to the doctor about my problems that's exactly what she told me SUCK IT UP!! God gave you a wonderful life with a beautiful little boy and worried about a man. Men aren't that special.
@JuJuMJFan4life oooh, jumpy. Not everybody is the same and certainly not everybody is/thinks like you. I was a single mother with 2 teenage sons and I was very happy when a man for me and a fatherfigure for them came into our lives. It improved all of our lives including my man's. And we have been very happy now for 5 years!
@carkees1 Was my comment to you? NO IT WASN'T. It's my opinion and I didn't need a reply back about your love life. You seem to me to be the one that's oooh, jumpy. Geez, I'm entitled to my own opinion.
Even though I hit the like button on this video, I think it is such a tragedy this happened to Gail. I hope this poor woman is finally at peace, and I hope her family only remembers the good times they had with her.
