Indians are taught that all peoples are the same, all races, all religons. This is drilled into us from childhood, reinforced by the state aparatus and by the schooling system. Unfortunately in Pakistan civil society is weak and is marginally influential. Pakistanis are taught in their schools to hate India and Indians and this has to do with Pakistan being a muslim country. Pakistanis are taught that the world is divided into kaffirs vs muslims or the ummah. This is the problem.
