  • look at that!..what a nice jardini..!good job owner..

  • @kulimman82 - Thank you..

  • wish mine will be like this when it gets big~

  • @AeddyEzy - Of course yours will. Your in one of the best country for arowana.

  • can u help me?

i got a rlly big tank but i found out i dunno how to plant it... :D cause i can get it but prob not out whitout breaking it i think :S and putting a small ladder in it scares me of breaking the bottom glass... plz help :D

  • @barrowscasper12 - If you are having a planted tank then I suggest you take your time with it. Maybe get a piece of drift wood and attach plants to it. Don't put too many big rocks and careful when your planting.

If you have a Jardini, I suggest keeping your tank bare and simple. Cause water changes are a hassle

  • very cool fish

  • @deadtopcat - thank you

  • This is a beautiful fish! The coloration and fin pattern is gorgeous.

  • @ShotgunAndAShovel - THANKS

  • mine is 6 inches so can i ask when can i hope to see the red coloring that your has?

  • It depends on the quality of the food. I also found a darker environment bought out its colours more.

  • @PugDiary i been feeding it blood worm only and it staring to show red. YAY for me so how your fish doing?

  • @DragonGar111088 - Yeh its good. I had an outbreak of micro white worms, but its under control now.

  • @PugDiary wow o.o so what are you feeding it? right now mine is in a 20 gallion tank and i planning on moving it to 175 later when it a little bigger since my flowerhorn will kill it. so till then i'm trying to find some cheap and good tank around all my local exotic pet store

  • @DragonGar111088 - It's on hikari pellets at the moment, but I also feed it frozen community dinner. (posaqua.com.au/products/community.html). So pellets in the morning and one frozen block at night.

You should make a new video..

  • @PugDiary i see that nice, i feed 2 or 3 block to him depending on how hungry he is

  • @DragonGar111088 is the red spot jardini rare or the gold spot?

  • @DragonGar111088 - There is only one Saratoga Jardini (northern Australian) the other one is Scleropages Leichardti (South/Eastern Australia). I find the Jardini has a better shape overall.

  • @PugDiary i see o.o i have raised and saw silver and jardini and raise them both but never saw the black, scleropage leichardti, asian. -.- asian is out since US dont let them in and not that intrested in black arowana, though i want see the scieropage leicardti *pout never seeing one* also my jardini grown to at least 8 or 9 inch (^o^) yay for me so how your fish doing

  • ++HELP++ i have a custom made 4ft tank the measuments are 50" Long x 15" Wide x 25" High how many gallons or litters? and my filtration is (1) FLUVAL 1000l/h or 260 gallon per hour and (1) FLUVAL 500l/h or 140 gallon per hour and (2) heaps good spounge filters is this ok with one jardini saratoga/arowana? and what are good tank mates?

  • @temper1995 A 4 foot tank may be good for a short time only. In my first videos my Jardini was in a 4 foot tank but it got very tight.

The more filtration you get the better, cause the most important thing in your tank is the beneficial bacteria!

  • @PugDiary thanx im gettting a (lxwxh)-6ftx20"x18"

  • @temper1995 yeah what pug say o.o also it best to keep jardini alone since they fight each other or have one silver with him. a tip dont feed jardini meal worm -.- it kill them *happen to my friend fishy*

  • @DragonGar111088 he is 7" and hes with 3" golden perch and 5" tandanius catfish can i put in a 4" super red flowerhorn??

  • @temper1995 the flowerhorn i say not but you can try -.- my 7 or 8 inch flowerhorn male attack my jardini and the 3 female about 2 to 4 inch fight with the jardini for food so the jardini in a 20 gallon till i find a bigger tank to move all 4 flowerhorn and put in the 175. i may put video here with them when i have time

  • is this aro still growing? or has it plateaued at 9"?

  • I think it stopped growing length wise, but the body is getting thicker.

  • Check out my youtube homepage. Got some tips there.

  • its nice c"',}

  • heyy nice Saratoga have a look at mine how did u get urs that colour any particular diet and any tips??

  • Yes.. it all depends on where you live.

Mavinvyno is from India and factoring the exchange rate etc it would be about right.

  • oh thanks a lot

  • what is the price of a 5 inch pearl arowana?

  • 20 USD

  • How much is the price of an 5 inch pearl arowana?.Iam looking forward to buy an arowana. What kind of arowana do you think is better for biginer like me? i have a 3*1.5*1 feet tank.

  • The main concern is the width of the tank. If an arowana can't turn then it will have problems later on.

Maybe try a bigger tank or an Oscar

  • Ok Thx~!

  • Where do you get the Arowanas?

  • You can buy them from specialty aquariums, usually the ones that sell monster fishes.

It depends, some local fish stores can order them in. I think in America you can get Jardini, silver and black arowanas.

  • nice color, how long do you keep your lights on for?

  • I only turn on the light when I'm feeding or looking at it.

The tanks doesn't get direct sunlight but the room is bright enough during the day.

  • I suppose once it reaches 4 inches you should put it in a bigger tank.

Pleco should be all right as it is a bottom dweller.

  • RTG is better i think. But I can't get a RTG in my country.

  • What i know is basically from experience...

But I would guess 20+ inches for adult.

  • Im not sure. But I think its very hard to tell them apart.

  • Rarely does it reach 2foot in captivity.

On youtube only 'Bonah' jardini comes close.

  • Hmmm.. i think all aro's need a pretty big tank. But Asians are the smallest followed by Australian aro's.

Yeh.. i think you can pick up a 3inch Jar for around $80. That would last about a year and a bit in a 4foot.

Some people do put aro's into smaller tanks but it's not recommended cause it might stunt the fish and it wont grow to its potential.

  • I mean, the arowana in this video is +5 months old and already 9inches. By that time I felt it needed a bigger tank.

  • So, thats a 4foot x 1.4foot x 1.8foot.

It would last about 1 year if you get a baby Jardini. But it won't do for an adult.

  • I have mine in a 5 foot because of space constraints. However the tank must be at least 2 foot wide so it can turn when fully grown.

  • cool, thanks for the info

  • Yeh the colour is really coming out now. I've been using two types of pellets: hikari and spirulina. Will make a new vid soon to show the improvement.

  • Very nice color. One of the best I have seen.

  • i have one of those fish fuckin beutiful awsome fish man

  • when i tried feeding them african mui (african cat fish) i found it is gaining size and colour very fast even after the day i started feeding them. do u feed them african cat fish?

  • I do feed it some silverbait occasionally. Never tried african cat fish.

  • ur fish looks amazing u should have tried small african cat fish if available there. u find it awesome cause the growth rate is very very quick than u expect

  • how did you get your jar to get color like that

  • A varied diet is the best. People say food with carotene help with colouration.

I feed mine pellets in the morning then either crickets, bloodworms, superworms, small fish, yabbies or prawns later on.

  • wow he's a beauty! he looks big for a 10-incher.

  • what the different between saratoga n scleropages jardini

  • umm i think its the same thing. scleropages is the scientific name. Here in Australia people call it saratoga.

  • It depends on the fish but you will know once it reaches 6 inches. I had a few silver dollars with this jardini & it killed them all oneday.
