To pour salt on the wound, this guy was cleared by Internal Affairs after an investigation of the incident? What? People, wake up! Write to your state legislator. I demand laws be passed that a police officer who commits any felony or arrests someone for a non-arrestable reason is arrested and fired for good. In the case of a faulty arrest, they pay $4000 to the victim. I don't wanna hear "But I don't have that money" or "Give me another chance". I'd say "You should've thought about that before"

Good. The police chief did the right thing. I really hate how if a cop does this, he gets away with it, but if a civilian hits a cop in self defense, oooooooooo, he gets charged with "assault of a peace officer". And you people wonder why we don't trust cops? Now I imagine not all are bad cops, but most certainly are. This guy was pepper sprayed and asking for water, and the cop pushes him over like that?!! OMG, I fucking hate cops. Maybe I should become and prevent others from acting like that.

Search for Freedog Documenary and watch "FREEDOG (HD) K9 Documentary." It's about this officer and his dog. After he was fired, the police department decided to keep his dog as well. I do believe he should have been fired as the man was not really resisting arrest anymore, but it's still sad to see that Officer Sanders lost his dog.

Cleared does not mean you did anything wrong, nor does it mean you are upholding the standards the Dept. want to set and hold to. Former Officer Sanders if you can watch that and not have issue with your actions, you should not be an officer. The guy may have been a douche bag, but dude. Who among us would not be fired for doing that at our job. I would be terminated on the spot. You got more consideration than 99% of us you have gotten.
