Maybe you can help. Can you or can't you mount a blu ray iso image with the ps3. It reads blu rays so I wounldn't see why not?? Is this what you have to use to do it (sak). Thinking of buying a ps3 slim. thanks!

its still a bullshit utility. Blu-rays are not only secured digitally, but have other patterns in the disk itself to prevent unwanted read methods.

HELP... Hi I have lastest firmware. Then Just now i tried this. I follow step by step then i cant go to my default OS. I tried to hold the button already. Turn off the main switch then turn on then pressing the power button and wont let it go its still wont reset but go to the application. OK do i need to install the ubuntu first? I realise that i just put the otheros.self then run it on my PS3. Then its get stuck in that menu where u suppose to put the letter to choose where u enter by a keyboard. I don have the keyboard for that. And again i tried to turn off by holding the power but no response. It sometimes do off then on again like a second. but it doesnt run the reset setting. Help please

there hasn't been an update for SAK since this!! i wouldn't use this or/an attempt to use this untill the final update has been completed, which has not been even attempted for over 1 year now! so don't waste ur time on this, they'll eventually start selling it to everyone.

What no-one will tell you is YOU NEED A PS3 USB KEYBOARD! IT WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT ONE!!! I found this out myself the hard way.

Now, can anyone tell me how to get the PC end to work?!? Something that no-one else will tell me!!! You've got to set a Network Share or something - HOW DO YOU DO IT FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! Thanks for your understanding.

HAHAHAHA MAN! I had installed this without a keyboard! So I was stuck in that Iso loader. Jezuz, i was so dang nervous that I had screwed things bad haha. But all I had to do was power it off and hold the ps3 on/off button (it beeps to go and 5 sec later it beeps again, resetting the default ps3 OS) Hahaha Can you believe i was considering to friggin take my ps3 apart! God im dumb

I have gentoo on my ps3. All u do is with the ps3 off hold the on button until it beeps 10 or 20 seconds after it starts... Then the default OS becomes the ps3 OS.

you can uninstall this by turning on your ps3 but when you turn it on by holding the power button there will be one beep when it runs on and then after 5 secs there will be another beep and everything will be default in the ps3 so go back to the system settings and format the hard disk so the ps3 takes all the HDD space.

Put it on a flash card w/Sony Other OS Installer (a separate download) & then tell the PS3 to "Install Other OS." I think the minimum FW for "Other OS" is 1.3.
