  • The problem is that you're using Linux, when you should be using Windows. If evolution is really fueled by mistakes and errors, Windows is definitely the way to go. Your creatures will be escaping their sandbox and taking over the world in no time!

  • You evolved a virtual creature to writhe on the floor for 3 minutes then die.

  • like bymysyd said, you should let it replicate, mutate and let the 'survival of the fittest' law take it's course

  • I didn't really see any progress there.

  • What you need to do is Let the objects that have variable controled "trates". You would have to make these objects replicate on a reglular bases; wich each replication, you have a couple of variables that would have a random integer.

    Let's say that there's a "trate" or variable the controlles how many cube-limbs that are attached...and one that controlles how long each limb is..or how fast a limb moves.

    Then you have to make make a protocall for reproduction; such as finding food.
