Bob Spalding is playing bass. Bob Bogle retired from touring a couple of years ago but intends to do some shows for the Ventures 50th Anniversary this summer.
It just doesn't get any better than this! They were recently inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame! They deserve it. Nokie Edwards - Lead, Don Wilson - Rhythm, Bob Spalding - Bass (taking over from the original Bob Bogle, Leon Taylor - Drums, son of Mel Taylor who passed away in 1996.
On the Surfin' To Baja Cruise in 2003, Jeff was asked "Should The Ventures be inducted into the HROF?" His response was "Hell, yes!!!" So it's cool to see him being able to tell the audience that in March they will be inducted.
Who was that playing bass, and where was Bob Bogle?
