greets and respects from canada mister Square. id quite like to say that me gusta your music and lyrics and we should start a technology congregation, as congregation is why churches as we observe them seem beneficial to the well being of those who attend their services.
My lady said she didn't think it was a good idea to incorporate my Atheism in my music because society wouldn't care or even like it, but I explained to her that I'm not gonna lie to the public about me or anything I speak about in my music just to satisfy them. My old songs were about how I felt or lived at the time, now that I'm Atheist I feel it's my duty to represent what we're going through as well. I thank you for all the positive inspiration your music has gave me and the A-Team members.
Imagine if all recording artists put this much thought into their songs, how much knowledge could be spread in just a few generations. Kind of sad to think not many other artists take this approach in their music. As always you do great work and cannot wait for the new album. After all we need a new horsemen, can’t have the three horsemen!
It's hard to find intelligent people to have conversations with about the vast subject material you rap about Greydon. It's also hard being an open-minded intelligent atheist in a world full of the close-minded, conservative and religious. But this music is like gasoline for the mind, and an inspiration. I am actually building a home studio kind of like yours, and I will make a few songs on the subject of god and science. Here's to hoping for a future collaboration.
Greydon, I cannot truly express how much I love what you do. There are VERY few rappers that I have genuine respect for and you are undoubtedly at the top of that list. I show people your music every chance that I get, not only to show them what a real emcee is supposed to sound like but also to try to make them think about things that really matter in the world. So far I've only had a handful of successful converts but I will continue trying. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work.
Hey Greydon, i know you probably get tons of messages similar to the one i am typing right now, but i would still like to Thank You, for making music with the enormous, and incredibly intelligent mind of yours, not to mention your MC skills. You show no fear, and that is needed in a leader. I really Love what your doing man, you have all my gratitude, and grace.I may be young, but i am learning, and you my friend... Just made learning more respectable, and honorable. ~VentiNelie
@VentiNelie Thank you so much Venti. The use for creativity is to educate and inform. At least that's how i've always felt. Thank you so much for your ear. :)
@greydonsquare that note. all of greydon square lyrics seem legit except for including buddhism along with the religions. i am not, but i know a lot of atheist who are buddhists. budha was an atheist and many of the buddhist parables parables include atheists being oppressed too.
@thoth81 You must've missed his entire last album, it's CALLED Kardashev Scale. This song is ridiculous as usual, and he just seems to get better and better as a musician and artist with each album.
@trtnec This video was the first time I've ever heard him so I didn't know who he was or what albums he had done. I agree with you regarding his skill and I hope he gets more exposure.
@greydonsquare Hey man i want to say thank you for what your doing your music is amazing i think you should try and promote more im trying up here in canada but its hard maybe people just cant handle the truth But keep em coming man and one day you'll make that track that blows the worlds mind
I cannot wait to hear the rest of the album!!! Thank you for sharing your intelligence, creativity and skepticism...and like the icing on a yummy cake, you are so very nice to look at!!
Yo Greydon, I love your music man, religion is something i also take on through my music, so im glad to have found you. I think you should try and contact Matt Dillahunty and The Atheist Experience and see if they could put your song on their show, they did it for another atheist rapper, who was half as talented lyrically as you. I think it could help you gain some more fans, def would be good for exposure as an artist. One love. Good luck too.
@ProfessorMultiKill That is exactly why we like him.He doesn't sing songs like the mainstream rappers do.He raps about stuff that actually matters and does it intelligently at that.I don't listen to nor want to listen to someone who is just a cookie cutter of the rest of rap music.I want someone who is not afraid to rap about real issues and say what is on his mind.It is for these reasons that i listen to Greydon Square.
Spaghetti monster damn you greydon mother fuckin' square. Your songs are the only ones in my playlist from the first day i found your music a while back, in some related to carl sagan videos. Hip hop and the pursuit of knowledge, always played a role in my life. It's amazing that i can finally do both at the same time.
I ran a search on Youtube for "atheist rap" and Squared was the first relevant-looking result. I have been whoring out your music for the last two weeks and I'm not sure I can survive properly before your next album comes out. I'm picky with hip-hop but you're the first artist where I'm picky not about what I like, but about which track to listen to next.
I'm a new fan, Greydon, and I can't get enough. I would love, in the future, to hear you do a concept album - something like the history of religion and myth in ancient to modern cultures - the "evolution" of religion or something like that. Just an idea. Keep up the high caliber work - you've made your way into the realm of my personal heros.
Welcome back Greydon. Compsci major here and always appreciated the orderliness and directness of your music. Looking forward to buying the Mandelbrot set when it's out; keep up the good work.
Love the album title Greydon. Before changing over to the physics PhD program I am currently in, I was advanced to candidacy for a PhD in mathematics, where my research was entirely focused on fractal geometry (including my then-advisor's proposed definition for "fractality" itself)- really interesting stuff. Great work as usual.
@greydonsquare Yeah, that'd be cool man. As soon as I get (at least momentarily) emancipated from the shackles of my quantum field theory course, I'll gladly send something your way. In the mean time, if you care to you can check out my webpage (more of a file repository for myself than anything, but....):

@gskowal this requires hands on research. you won't find much on the net. Africans knew how to communicate with the dead and even beings beyond that.when the slave trade happen they brought there belief to the new world. alot of them were forced into Christianity but they were clever and masked their belief with christian names.my family is from Cuba alright we dont participate in these things. i have been to "seances" and its something you have to experience my friend. there is an unseen world
@gskowal Hey man I'm just as skeptical and scientifically minded as the next guy. But if your stuck in a western frame of thinking. You'll never get it.
@gskowal your confused my friend.. check out some vids in my channel. Nassim Haramein, Ian Lungold, Gregg Braden. Open your mind. Stop worrying so much if there's a god or no god it will blind you from doing real beneficial work.
@Scarecrow0089 , once again you claim to be a skeptic yet you claim to accept that some Africans knew how to communicate with the dead... SO where is the evidence? If you got none yet you accept this claim then you are not a skeptic my friend. OPEN my mind to what? Fictitious and unsupported claims?
@gskowal Channeling is very real. I'm only trying to share with you. Try not to be so ignorant eh ? Show me proof that there are more dimensions than 3. Since my first post I said its hands on research. you have to physically find people who have this knowledge. Yes I'm a skeptic but i know better that to view things in only black and white. Iv had personal experiences that I don't need to share over the internet. If you really wanted to know more then you'll find a way.
@Scarecrow0089 , When you make statements like "Channeling is very real" then you need to back them up with evidence..Once again, where is it? You can't be calling yourself a skeptic if you accept stuff that has not been proven to be true. Once the hypothesis is confirmed then you can claim something "is very real". It's not about black and white thinking, it's about EVIDENCE that is supposed to support your claims, and that to my knowledge is missing.
@gskowal dude look at your youtube channel. How can I show you evidence of an unseen dimension. You want to be a strict left brain thinker than go for it. Run into a wall for all I care lol. I already told you "hands on research" ignorant mofuka. shame ill regret saying that later so please except my apology in advance. You can analyze and break down my words all you want.
@Scarecrow0089 The whole Left brain/Right brain thing is actually a load of Rubbish/ Congratulations on successfully calling on one sham to use Ad hominem attacks to defend a ridiculous claim.
@FateAv Dude your existence is a sham lol. Go do something with yourself instead of being a keyboard warrior. I know it's hard for your systematic mind to understand that there are some things the scientific method can't work with. Read a book titled "The Holographic Universe" It may help you in your life.
@Scarecrow0089 , so you bought snake oil from those guys you listed and didn't even think to find out if their claims are valid or not.. DUDE YOU ARE FAR FROM a SKEPTIC. You swallowed nonsense from Nassim Haramein, Gregg Braden and Ian Lungold and you call yourself a skeptic?
@DR000 A Resource Based Economy isn't anarchy. We're not purposing a no government society. We purpose replacing our current system of elected authority (very corruptible) with an open, branching repository of governmental ideas and technical designs. Anyone could create a branch at will, but only the best ideas are useful to society.
If everything was open source, and most mundane labor was automated, money becomes a useless, abstract representation of fundamental resources.
@DR000 I can't help but compare "people aren't productive without money" to "people aren't good without god." Incentive is more complicated. Would you date someone who does nothing all day? Why do you make music or paint? Money today is only a path to happiness and feeling successful, not a source.
And if survival and commodities weren't an issue, we could cooperatively contribute more on projects we're interested in. Projects that wouldn't suffer from false advertising or corporate greed.
@greydonsquare Glad to hear you're interested. Right now the Zeitgeist Movement is about spreading awareness of the possibility of a Resource Based Economy. We like to think of a RBE as science applied to social issues. Of course, any science needs to be thoroughly tested, we're just not quite there yet.
Occupy Wall Street has shown many are at least aware of today's economic problems. However it's the solutions people need to focus on. We've got some good ideas, but we could use your help.
lol the "voyager" in the beginning, dope as fuck as always but you should write something about that occupy wall st. shit I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on it.

@Scarecrow0089 The whole Left brain/Right brain thing is actually a load of Rubbish/ Congratulations on successfully calling on one sham to use Ad hominem attacks to defend a ridiculous claim.
FateAv 4 months ago
@FateAv Dude your existence is a sham lol. Go do something with yourself instead of being a keyboard warrior. I know it's hard for your systematic mind to understand that there are some things the scientific method can't work with. Read a book titled "The Holographic Universe" It may help you in your life.
Scarecrow0089 4 months ago
@Scarecrow0089 , so you bought snake oil from those guys you listed and didn't even think to find out if their claims are valid or not.. DUDE YOU ARE FAR FROM a SKEPTIC. You swallowed nonsense from Nassim Haramein, Gregg Braden and Ian Lungold and you call yourself a skeptic?

Out of curiosity, what's your stance on a Resource Based Economy?
PhilipWitte 4 months ago
@PhilipWitte
Shits never gonna work, you need a government to facilitate things. God damn hipsters.
DR000 4 months ago
@DR000 A Resource Based Economy isn't anarchy. We're not purposing a no government society. We purpose replacing our current system of elected authority (very corruptible) with an open, branching repository of governmental ideas and technical designs. Anyone could create a branch at will, but only the best ideas are useful to society.
If everything was open source, and most mundane labor was automated, money becomes a useless, abstract representation of fundamental resources.
PhilipWitte 4 months ago
@PhilipWitte
But what is the incentive to automate labor? Specialists will have to do that, why would they educate themselves and spend time to do it?
DR000 4 months ago
@DR000 I can't help but compare "people aren't productive without money" to "people aren't good without god." Incentive is more complicated. Would you date someone who does nothing all day? Why do you make music or paint? Money today is only a path to happiness and feeling successful, not a source.
And if survival and commodities weren't an issue, we could cooperatively contribute more on projects we're interested in. Projects that wouldn't suffer from false advertising or corporate greed.
PhilipWitte 4 months ago
@PhilipWitte Thats a great point. Man i want to have these discussions all the time with you guys! How can we make that happen?
greydonsquare 4 months ago
@greydonsquare Glad to hear you're interested. Right now the Zeitgeist Movement is about spreading awareness of the possibility of a Resource Based Economy. We like to think of a RBE as science applied to social issues. Of course, any science needs to be thoroughly tested, we're just not quite there yet.
Occupy Wall Street has shown many are at least aware of today's economic problems. However it's the solutions people need to focus on. We've got some good ideas, but we could use your help.
