  • I pefer American weapons or Japanese

  • mg 34 was deadly @ Normandy. Imagine 100's of fuckers firing those things in your direction...holy shit.

  • what they call a mp 38 is as mp 40

  • @Richardrock1990 actually its an mp38 the mp40 is basically just a bit cheaper but almot exactly the same

  • If I had to take a machine gun to war in WW2 I would carry an MG34, QUALITY.

  • @Arelak why not MG42?

  • this brings back good memories, of when the History channel actually showed history.

  • @andrew1zy Agree so much!

They should send more of this interesting history!

  • best weapons in ww2

  • Nice fingernails.

  • The guy at 8:40 looks like he's carrying a snowball : )

  • Great documentary, terrible conflict

  • stopped watching when the Vet said "clips"

  • @RunningBlue22 your such a fucking idiot, ya its a mag but every conflict before ww2 a clip was used so most vets called it a clip. Try to make yourself look like less of an ass.

  • @RunningBlue22 Lol yeah, it's a magazine and he was guessing the MP38 had 12-14 rounds in a magazine which is way off lol.

  • Well my mercedes w124 1989 is still strong till today

  • GERMAN WEAPONS FTW

  • why the hell do they always say maschinenpistolA? patronA? there's a fucking e, so say an e!

  • MG34 is surely the most beautiful and sophisticated machine gun in the second world war. Thank you for the nice video.

  • @EliteSoldierForce im 9 and i know more about guns then these call of duty nerds and i do play cod for fun

  • Nobody can deny that, The MG34's and The MG42's are bad ass weapons.

  • Some Germans had combat knowledge from the Spanish Civil War.

  • I wonder how much crap retired german ww2 veterans get...

  • That MG 34 is scary.

  • tip when you are making a video with german words: know how to pronounce german!

  • lol...in the documentary about american weapons they said how the weapons were carried to battle by heroes in ww2

In this one they just keep telling us how bad the germans were.Winners write history i tell ya!

  • rofl 8:51 theres a singer whos name is Karl Wolf

  • In the all the world war i still love the mg34 and the mg42

  • Oppenheimer was an American Jew. Having said that, there were people from all over the world who helped to include Fermi from Italy, Bohr from Denmark, Einstein from Switzerland.

  • @DonMeaker Einstein was original a german jew, he just didn't want to live there anymore after Hitler came to power and later became citizen of switzerland

  • And Einstein eventually became a US citizen.

  • Damn,I remember my grandfather told me about using a squadmember as a mg support during advances. That had to kill your eardrums pretty fast:-)

  • im so glad those nazi cunts didnt get the M1....that would be a problem cos i believe americas fire power gave them a huge advantage....and thats not counting the atom bomb.

  • mp40 is the best!!!

  • When you compare Germany's economic GNP and Population compared to the combined GNP and Populations of USA, UK and Soviet Union it's amazing that they almost won the war. They killed their opponents in huge ratios favoring Germany. Of course you'd never know it watching Hollywood's version of WW2 but the Germans were amazingly powerful for their numbers. Thank God we won!!

  • I want to see a WWII game with those types of guns that people wouldnt recognize. And why has there not been 1 ww 2 game that has the italian army. the italians had some pretty intresting looking guns :)

  • quality vs quantity is the essential german philosophy even to this day.

Why put out alot of crap when you could put out a few gems.

even the americans now follow this trend while our army dwindles in man power it gets bigger and stronger in technology and quality of weapons.

  • Compared to WWII, the casualties in Iraq are minuscule right now

  • oh most definately it would take 40 iraqs before you could even compare it to WW2

  • Now that i read it again, i misunderstood you. I thought by "while our army dwindles" i thought you meant our army was getting weaker because of the casualties in Iraq. Now i realize you meant it's naturally doing that. relatively speaking, of course.

  • yeah since vietnam I think we stopped relying on having large troop size and started focusing on high technology that can do the damage of a larger army without risking the lives.

I've never really been impressed when someone says "Korea has a one million man army or china has a billion soldiers etc.

If you look at what the germans were doing on the eastern front against a much larger opponent then it is evident that better tech (and not fighting two wars on different fronts) is effective

  • iraq doesnt have a army...they have amatures with ak47s.

this vid is about ww2, not iraq....it has nothing to do with any of this.

  • I'm talking about casualties

read all of my comments before you comment on something I wrote. So you look like you know what you are talking about.

  • bah!

  • everyone knows this video is about ww2 nobody is comparing it to iraq.

you are replying to a conversation i was having with someone else about the differences between ww2 and today's wars.

  • Yeah, we were comparing the benefits of manpower vs. efficiency/technology, and were talking about how even while manpower in Iraq is less than it was in WWII, we are more efficient.

  • Iraqi army is being trained with M-16s, and they are learning to shoot accurately with them, to the terrorists regret.

  • complete different conflict mate...you cant compare iraq with ww2.

the 2 wars have nothing in common.

  • @TheProjektcc American training seems to have suffered though, they believe that technology is a good substitute for quality training

  • @mngler

yeah you are definitely right about that. U.S has become extremely reliant on technology.

  • @TheProjektcc True. You will very rarely find a German that would rather have quantity over quality. Germans try to make things the best, they don't really care if they have to spend a lot of money.

  • @TheProjektcc not in the modern german army the Bundeswehr, crap crap crap, fucking gear everything fuck this army is so bad,

  • @TheProjektcc It is true as long as you are not loosing anything. Or if you have too few people to call to arms.

But in a long term war (where you have great losses) or when you have a shortage of time and many people to spare. Then quatnity has its own quality.

  • @essen961

You are absolutely right my friend which is why even the most advanced nations should work to avoid these large scale long term wars because the cheaper and more cost effective armies who can produce their weapons and man power more consistently has the advantage in such a scenario.

  • @TheProjektcc Quality over quantity only works up to a point. The USSR and USA overwhelmed the Germans with massive numbers of Shermans and T-34's that were inferior to the Panthers and Tigers.

  • @TheProjektcc -If you think the 1911, M1 Garand and Tommy Gun aren't quality guns then you're stupid.

  • MG34, excellent weapon, unfortunately a bit delicate, requiring careful maintenance and cleaning. Also, it was expensive to manufacture. The MG42 solved these problems and gave the German Army a powerful scythe not yet equaled. The tactics developed along the machine gun were later adopted by other armies, often used by the US soldiers in Vietnam, even when the American weapon (the M60) did not come close at all to the reliability and power of the MG42.

  • @ftorresgamez yes the Mg 42 was a great machine gun and is still used by the German army today renamed the Mg 03

  • @ftorresgamez "Not yet equaled"? That's not exactly true. There are more reliable, useful and convenient machine guns today, such as the PKM. The PKM has its magazine below, whereas the MG3 has its magazine on the side, which is inconvenient. The PKM is also lighter and has a more comfortable recoil.

  • @ftorresgamez I totaly agree on that statment

    thanks for posting the comment

  • @ftorresgamez REALLY! WOW!

  • Agreed, RO is the most realistic of the WW2 games.

  • call of duty: waw is a poor representation of WW2 weapons.

however not all games are so bad.

Call of duty 2 is IMO the most realistic WW2 game out there. as far as looks and sounds and feel go.

    Infinity Ward > Treyarch

  • agreed

  • CoD series is one of the most unrealistic games out there!

  • MG34 has a double trigger (On for Semi-Auto, one for Automatic)

    MG42 has a single trigger

    My way of remembering

  • First of all, that's not a joke. I have an excellent sense of humor , and that excellent sixth sense tells me that your Call of Duty reference was just a cry for attention.

Seriously, leave Call of Duty for game videos. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but it's kinda a silly to make references to a video game.

  • I cannot believe that you'd actually make a Call of Duty 4 reference on an actual gun video. How lame can ya get?

  • wtf r they sayin the mp38 was the most common german mp

  • you obviously did not hear the guy it would inevitably replaced by the mp. 40

  • the mp44 was not a mchine pistol it was an assault rifle

  • The MP stands for Machine pistol... its in german but it means machine pistol

  • the mp44 or also known as stg 44 was an assault rifle it didnt fire the standard 9mm bullet like the mp 40....

  • MP stands for Maschinenpistole

    translated it means submachine gun

  • You don't know how old I am,

    I am educated

I know more history than you

A Hypocrite is a person who criticizes something or someone about something they don't like, Yet they do it too.

I don't know why I'm having this conversation with you.

You have the maturity of a 6 year old

I don't know why you're being like this. I never did anything to you.

  • Wow dude, 1: You're flaring over something stupid, AND over the internet.

2: I bet your a hypocrite. I bet you don't know as much as me or WarGamerHistorian

  • why does he says "this in theyr hands, the MP 38" and he pick up a MP 40

  • mp 38 is an earlier model of the mp40

  • well i know that the 40 was an improvement of the 38 over safty device, and production rate.

the point is that he picks up a 40 and says that it's a 38...

it's like picking up a M1a1 tommy gun while saying "this is a 1921 tommy"

  • Yeah, but games like Call of Duty inspire poeple to learn more about the wars; that's how I got started studying guns and wars. Although I don't know all that much about it yet, I go around and correcting people about simple stuff about guns, like how bad the recoil is, the ammo capacity, stuff like that.

  • Call of Duty is not so accurate, thats why it's a game...

  • I didnt say they were accurate. All i said was that that's how I got started in Guns

  • ok, dont take me wrong, im not accusing you im just saying dont take any info from call of duty its not so accurate :)

  • does that even make sence? lol

  • What do u mean by that?

  • the germans before the war had very effective weapons, but when the russians and americans pushed back, they figured "oh shit , we gotta hurry up and make more weapons" and thats when the weapon quality skyrocketed downwards, and that contributed to their downfall. correct me if i'm wrong

  • Super wrong, both Americans and Russiands didn't go much further with weapons for America until the Vietnam War and for Russia shortly after at the start of the Cold War.

  • i know that the americans and russians didnt make many more weapons until the start of The Cold War, in fact, from what i've read, the russians did not have that much in the way of weapons, their main two composed of the mosin nagant, and the svt. but thank you for correcting me :D

  • Actually, the main weapons of Russia were very useful and they had a huge arsanal. Especially with the addition of the AK 47 in 1947. The year the Cold War started. In America the M16 and M60 came out in time for the Vietnam War.

  • cool :P i didnt know that! you really deserve to be called WarGamerHistorian. :D

  • Thanks, you can find these things out to on various youtube videos, and books. The driving force that made me want to study WWII was actually video games! Just don't believe everything thats in them and books are always the most accurate.

  • That British guy is such a baller.

  • Hehe Un-intresting, Germans made the most unique and sophisticated weapons at that time...

  • with the develpoment of the german...there would be no modern assault rifles

oh i forgot the would be no bolt action rifles also

  • that got mg34 and 42 messed up i think

  • MG34 had a round Barrel-Shroud

    MG42 had a square Barrel-Shroud

That's my main way of telling the difference between them!

  • me too

  • finally
