Yay, Consign to Oblivion! I absolutely love that one, and it is without a doubt my favourite Epica album, but now.... with this... I'm not so sure anymore. I think I'll probably love them both as much for different reasons. Design Your Universe is phenomenal, everything just works on this album. and this track? Probably one of my favourites, although it's HARD to choose just one... All the songs are breathtaking in their own ways.

I like all albums very much, except the last one (The Divine Conspiracy), that just didn't stick somehow, it felt just too incoherent in a way.

This album is again closer to Consign to Oblivion, which I loved.

For me the best album remains "consign to oblivion" while Simone is the main reason why i like epica, her voice is just something else. but thats cool, its great when people can have different oppinions but still agree on one thing: this band rules!

@ahsergio Because it is there best work. Ariën add more to the band then there last drummer and Isaac is a far better guitar player then Ad. Though I don't dislike Ad. When Isaac came on board they were able to move there sound to a more progressive feel and even had more power for the guitar. Also sense Arien became a full member he was able to put is touch into the music.

@ahsergioat the beggining I didn't like the grunts eiather so I'm telling u this from expiriance. there's no doubt Simone's voice is something else & she is the main reason many pepole go on listening this band but in time u get used to her voice and also to the grunts and then u see clearly that CTO is thier weakest album and the songs u love the most are the ones that have both grunts & Simone's voice like chasing the dragon and others. In a year from now I'm pretty sure you'll think the same

@DarkImaginaion quite sooner than i (and you) though, my taste for epica has changed, for a long time "blank infinity" was the top music in my played count at iTunes, by the end of 2010 i had a problem with my old laptop, and started the count all over in a new one, the result is not altogether surprising for me now, but i still get many replies about the martyr's comment. This is how my play count looks now

Yes Elis is extremely awesome and Sabine was truly one of the best singers ever!!! And well this isnt my favorite of the album cause unfortunately I dont have it yet,and well what I didnt like much of this song are the backing choirs on the chorus,cause that is so typical of Sirenia,but im sure ill love this song as soon as I get the album,and yes I loved Mark´s screams,i missed them on the album,cause i like them more than his grunts! This song has a great beggining though!
