yeah i used a regular pencil, and i used acryllic paint for the rest of it. i'm not so sure what kind of brushes i used to be honest with you (i found them somewhere in the basement), but I used a large brush for the branches and fingerpainted the cherryblossoms, though i used a small paintbrush for some of the inner stuff, hope that helped if you're planning on doing something like this! i'm not really a good painter, and i don't paint often but it was really alot of fun :D
