@spechtje09 On the rom I have, the starters are Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur. But in all of them, you can go to Artisian Cave after beating the game.
actually, if you look closely in prof. birch's lab, you see some stairs at 3:54 that are not in the real game. you can walk in those stairs, and it will take you in a hidden grass area to the right of littleroot town where you can catch ALL 3 GENERATION STARTERS. including eevee and pikachu. that's 10 pokemon (plus your starter that you picked) at your disposal at the start of the game.
@kenshi0000 not all of them do. i played on one that didn't have one before. but, BOTH versions i played had all starters (and eevee and pikachu) in the altering cave on route 103, so that should help you. their levels range from 14-17. good luck
This is a hack. You can get cyndaquil if you see every pokemon and talk to Pro. Oak! My friend did it with his gameshark... We never did play this game again lol.

isn't there some cave you can go to and like you can battle lv1.100 mewtwo entei and stuff?
I played a hack with that in it. It's in the route where you battle [RIVAL]
I don't remember weather or not this is the game or not, but I got lucky and caught one xd

@TylerBaumgardner No this is a fan made game that has all 386 pokemon in it without having to hack or trade or what not to finish pokedex.
