Does high/low humidity have any effect on the sound? Especially the wood parts. How do you know what a harmonica is made of when shopping/looking for one?
If you buy separate ones in the small hard cases, what do you use to carry them or transport them to gigs and such? Thanks:)

For a beginner, I would recommend getting one good harp to start on, mayby a Special 20 in C.

this helped me alot, or at least it would have if i hadn't already bought it. One thing i noticed though is that you didn't mention bending notes.
Also i'm curious, if i replaced the plastic casing with a metal one, firstof all would it fit, and if it does, would it make it sound better?
