  • Awsome. Hope I will fly there one day.

  • Nice flying. I love the props. The pilots are the best manual flyers unlike the automated jets.

  • I'm very interested in doing the same type of flying as Mr. Juergen is doing! Would anyone know of how that would be possible? I've tried looking around for some PNG pilot jobs but I came up dry... Would anyone know of how I can get started? I'm not a PNG citizen :\

  • 3:58 is that a Garmin GPS100

  • no.

  • Gday Brad, I have flown with Juergen as well - check out my clip "Hoskins to Gasmata". I believe he is now flying 747's for Cathay Pacific. I will try and find his email address and email him thsi link, I know he will love it. Cheers Paddy

  • thanks Brad for this very informative clip of PNG - is the Palmalmal strip known as Jacquinot Bay or is this another strip? my dad was there during the war and have been to Rabaul - Hoskins - Madang - Goroka - great trip and dad was 90 years old - he had a ball

  • If I recall correctly the airstrip was Palmalmal and yes, I believe it is next to Jacquino Bay. I could be wrong. Looking at Google Earth, both palmalmal and Jacquino bay are close to one another - but Jacquino bay appears to have a dirt air strip and we landed on grass. But that was 1.5 years ago.

The land of the unexpected _is_ a special place.
