  • There is more material available from a Domicile Session with J. Hicks, Cl. Houston and Hugh Walker. Pieces are Nostalgia, Solar, Let me go, Naima`s Love Song, Judgment of a certain Kind. These days I remember well, because we were always hanging out after the show at my house. Hicks got drunk and the others were searching my music collection for rarities. Today I`m happy to find anyone who listens to these sounds with an attentive attitude.

  • awesome

  • songs like this, are reasons why i still think this life is still worth living.

  • Charlie Rouse was one of those rare musicians who sounded good every single time he played.

  • I saw this quintet every night during Christmas week at the Village Vanguard in 1980. It was one of the best music experiences of my life.

Thanks for posting this and any more you may have of this wonderful quintet.

  • This is rare pleasure indeed, John Hicks was a friend and I heard him play it many times.Have you any more from this concert? I'd love to hear more of this band, especially very underrated Albert Dailey. Thank you in advance.

  • @vova47 thanks vova. The rest of this track is wonderful but with a very annoying background noise from reception. I will try to upload soon other tunes from that gig or give you a link. Keep in touch!
