I was at that show. All I remember as I was whacked out of my mind was it was fucking FREEZING out that night with snow and ice on the ground. Once inside all the glass mirrors on the wall fogged over from the body heat. I grew up in the same neighborhood as L'amour in Brooklyn and was there several times a week from 1983 until it closed for good.
Wow was Chuck K the dj there also?I use to love Lamours in Brooklyn.I worked a TT-Quick show there in the late 80's and love the stage. It was one on favorites to take band shots at.Next to Studio 1 it really had some depth.
@GameJourney actually no, He had many years of great singing after wards. BUT, the night before I had the pleasure of meeting him with my friends at the hotel next door. He was bombed out of his mind and bumming Marlboros .
lamore east was on Queens blvd in queens that is where i saw them on that tour so if this is lamores east its queens the other was known as lamore brooklyn
laz4 has it right -it was on Queens Blvd - i was up there in the front - holy crap!! It was Valentines day i believe and Eddie Jackson (think it was him) had on a Phil Simms jersey - cause the Giants had just won the Super Bowl
My dad was at the second show out of the 2 shows at lamour east. Where did you get this footage? Ive only dreamed about seeing this footage of this glorious night all I ever heard were stories.
I just showed this video to my brother; he was there that night. However, L'amour East was on Queens Boulevard in East Elmhurst, NY (Queens). It was one of 2 Lamour's in NY in the 1980s. It is now a Tae Kwan Do studio.

scott 's drumming is incredible
nino288 10 months ago
The incredible thing is that he goes from a natural talking voice to that 3rd octave chorus just like that. How many guys can do that?

He also resembles Angelina Jolie.

Sadly, this was right around the time Tate's voice began to break down.
