  • My son had colic when he was a baby. He sounded exactly like this. I cried a lot myself. Nobody wanted to help because the sound drove them crazy. My husband asked to work extra hours at work so he didn't have to hear it. I felt so alone and so stressed out! I dealt with his colic all day everyday on my own for 4 months. It does end though! My son is a healthy, intelligent young man today and is in university becoming an engineer.

  • my son had cholic.

  • poor baby the mom is stupidddddddddddddddd

  • @sibelyusein Unless you've had a colicy baby you have not got a clue!!!

  • Unfortunately, my best answer is not one you will like - time. I paced the floors chanting this too shall pass...it does and you, and the child, will survive. Good Luck.

  • ihave this problem now but my baby is worse!!! how dou get rid of this crying like she is in pain

  • r u sure this baby had colic because after 3 months babys are usually over colic depending on age??

  • what a great little girl to hold a raging baby in that calm way.

There was a screamer who lived next door, and the sound was unbearable. It sounded inhuman-like something from a horror movie-the rage in the cry was terrifying. I have heard worse babies than this one on you tube-and it is a great idea to show schoolkids this-the downside of parenthood...imagine being a teenager coping with this...

  • my son had terrible colic like this - check out "homeopathy works for me - a tale of baby colic disappearing!"

  • ah bless I have so been there...going to try and post a video response :0)

  • I can only imagine what this family is trying to accomplish. I remember when my sister was that age. She had colic something awful! Now, she's 16 years old, and in the 10th grade in senior high school.

  • My momma gave us gripe water when we started crying. Gave me memories of oceans. XD

  • The little girl was desperate, poor thing

  • I know how you feel.. My 4 month old is coming out of colic now, he used to cry for hours straight, but not it happens maybe once a week for 40 minutes or so at a time. You just get to a point where you don't know what else to do... Bless your little girls for trying to help the momma! When I heard that scream I got the chills..!! Only thing I can do is just to cry with him!

  • lol he was like SHUT THE HELL UP I HAVE F***ING STOMACH PAINS *crys*

  • Omg i'd be screaming and clawing at her too, them singing 'Stoppp cryingggg rocka my babyyyyyyy' sounds like those kids singing in those scary horror movies (only its not ringaround the rosie lol)

  • I think there was something about catnip and a certain type of tea that helped with colic a lot. Poor baby.

  • wow ...didnt the baby get a headache crying so much

  • It makes me feel comforted to see others go through this as well. The first time my daughter had a colic fit I thought she was going to die. Colic sure isn't easy, but I'm taking it in stride now!

  • OMG did you never find a solution to that?

  • Bless your heart! Can relate. Try a good chiropractor. Worked for us. I pushed for 4 hours so baby was in birth canal for a while. Neck was really sore. Chiropractor helped. Now old enough to tell me when sore and needs an adjustment. Also, gripe water helped and gas drops and tylenol. But sometimes was just upset and need a good cry with Mom or Dad jiggle and comforting and understanding. Also, "happiest baby on the block" a HUGE help! & "the aware Baby" Good luck to other parents.

  • Oh god, my 4 week old was like that for the first 2 1/2 weeks (I do not think it was colic though, too early), it was heartbreaking not being able to calm him. Luckily he seems to have grown out of whatever it was, all he cries for now is food and when we change his diaper/bathe/and dress him.

  • my mom gave my baby sister a gas med 4 infants and her colic went way alomst like that

she did the same 4 me

  • Remember this video was shot in 1989.

There were very few colic rememedies then that were easy to find out about. Trust me - if I ever have a grandchild with colic - you tube will be my first destination!

  • You need to try the Miracle Blanket! Nothing else worked to calm my insanely colicky baby girl. A friend gave me one as a gift and I didn't use it until one night i was desperate. I thought what the heck. I couldn't believe it. She was instantly calmed and fell asleep for 7 hours! It's truly an AMAZING blanket. Every new parents needs one of these, trust me!

  • This is why I LOVE Dr. Karp....they probably didn't have the 5 S's when your little girl was like this. My son was colicky just like your daughter and I learned about the swaddling and shushing and it WORKED like a charm!!! OH!! and FIONAIONESEY......your just another dumshit that has to leave retarded messages on baby video's.....Sorry dorysmamma....I had to say it.

  • No wonder it's screaming that girl wont stop singing.

  • omg my daughter is 3 months and is still colic.. i hope she wont cry for 1 year!!!!

  • Please God, dont let my 5 week old go for a whole year!!

  • adorablw little angel ;)

  • this video brought back a tough memory of my daughter becky who cried for 8 months straight. i almost have no memory of this foggy time in our life. by the grace of GOD we made it through. it was extremely hard on our marriage. we got through it and our stronger because of it. becky is now grown 21, and expecting her first. she is a strong willed beautiful girl with a deep voice from screaming to the point of tearing her vocal chords for 8 months. i dont wish colic on anyone

  • my little sister was a colic...she cried for 6 months straight without stopping. I was 3 years old, so I don't remember. But I do remember that I never wanted to hold her because she was so loud. Actually...she still is loud and annoying..lol

  • My now 18 year old son had the same problem. When one of these colic attacks hit him we were in the middle of cleaning house we stopped what we were doing when he started to scream like this. My ex-wife was holding him and I started vacuuming the floor and he stopped immediately the noise of the vacuum cleaner broke him of having colic attacks forever. We wore out the vacuum cleaner and then we finally got smart and recorded it onto audio tape and played it over and over.

  • i hve 4 sons oldest now 19 youngest 6 bottlefed 1st 3 breastfed 4th guess what they all had colic.

  • my mum sent this comment not me lol.

  • As the first time mom of a newly recovered colicky kid, I thank you for this...specifically the disclaimer at the beginning.

I all submit that this clip be shown in high school sex ed classes.

  • I shared your comment with the child in the video - we all got a hoot out of it. Good luck with your own. They grow up much too fast!

  • i agree this clip shld be shown 2 teenage girls who think havin babies is fun.

  • "She's scratchin' me an' pinchin' me!" lol I remember that kind of thing from when my brother had his inner ear problems. Poor baby...
