@velaemi@ljohnsonljohnson9423@josh9evo9@ddaavvaa774 - Sorry for the delayed response, guys! I don't use this channel anymore. The first question asked, "Any suggestions on cheaper sources?" The refurbished Apple Online Store may be a source. Second question was, "What was the first thing you bought for it?" I purchased a 19-inch LG L192WS LCD display. The last two were, "Are the gaming graphics good" and, "Can I plan Minecraft or Black Ops?" Awesome graphics! Windows games can be played, too.
@DarthQball - This product is phenomenal and perfect for the first-time Apple product buyer. May I ask you if you have a screen, keyboard and mouse, though? Or are you planning to buy those separately? And also, what are you planning on using it for? Graphics and design? Video editing? Gaming? Get back to me and I'll try to help you. Thanks for your response and please subscribe, too!
@VigourVision Maybe gaming. My laptop has been giving me issues. I want to get a iMac or macbook or under $1000 but its hard to find anything. I don't have anything for the Mac mini because I have a laptop.
@DarthQball - I would recommend you buy a baseline Mac mini (2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 2GB memory, 500GB hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 3000 and OS X Lion) along with either a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad and Apple Wireless Keyboard. Then, install either Windows 7 Professional 64-bit or Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit via "Boot Camp Assistant" - that way you can play both PC-based and Macintosh-based games on your Mac. Does that help?
@DarthQball - It's good enough for what I want to do, however, the integrated graphics chipset (which mine has) is made more for design. Animating, editing and composing - if you want something awesome for gaming, still at an awesome price, the 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 4GB memory, 500GB hard drive, AMD Radeon HD 6630M and OS X Lion Mac mini is probably a better choice. For the cash, this is a great machine, but, if you're able to dole out another two hundred, the upgrade's better!
@DarthQball - I've also done a review of four games on this Mac mini - Modern Combat: Domination, The Sims 3 Deluxe, Zen Bound® 2 and Rome: Total War Gold Edition. Again, let me know if this helps! And also, again, please don't forget to subscribe! If you could become my fiftieth subscriber, that'd be awesome!
@Bananas138 - Thanks! But I should let you know, it's much easier said than done. The price difference between the baseline Mac mini and baseline iMac is $600 - twice as much! If you have the money, definitely go for the iMac, however, I had no choice - I need a Mac for school and this was the top of my price range. Still, great computer, though!
@nathanhaywardcom - I believe it can be used with numerous products. One of the more common products used with it is the Apple Remote, available for $19.00, used primarily for controlling an iTunes account or in an application called "Front Row", which of course, is no longer available in Lion. :(
@TJC450 - I think you meant, "When did the original MacBook Air come out?" The original MacBook Air came out in January 2008, and the first Mac mini without an internal SuperDrive was the original Mac mini Server, released in October 2009. The MacBook Air SuperDrive was given its name only because, at the time of its initial release, it was the only Mac without an internal SuperDrive. To be honest, Apple should have called it an "External SuperDrive", but alas, this is not the case. :)
@VigourVision no no. I know when the original Air came out. Im talking about the Super drive. it was a accessory when the first air came out. But from what I understood the super drive ONLY worked with the Air. I guess that is nto the case anymore.
Trust me I'm a huge Apple fan. I got a 21.5 iMac my self :)
found this for 336 pounds!!!!!!!

@TJC450 - More room for storage - Doesn't matter to me, though - I just bought the MacBook Air SuperDrive to deal with that problem. :)
