This must have been wqhen diehard batteries were good. My last 2 were junk. I got 2 years out of a diehard gold that was less than 2 years old. I thought you got a warranty with these, especially when it says 3 year free replacement guarantee right on the battery. No more diehard for me. Get an Interstate battery, they last. Read Consumer reports also.
