The script for this is horrendous. Krystle has been in a coma for three years and Alexis doesn't even question the fact that she is now large as life at the Carrington mansion.

Did Dynasty not have an historian (like they do on the British soaps) at least then the writers could have had some sort of a guide. In the car Blake asked Jeff if he and Fallon were going ahead with their divorce; but it had already been established in Season 9 that they WERE divorced!
The Mansion (as everyone else has mentioned) is just a completely different place.

for 10 years we saw Alexis do everything in her power to get the mansion from blake, but I can't imagine that she wouldn't want to buy it, after all, she claimed it was her house for so long.

Since this production was shot on a fraction of what Dynasty would have ordinarily cost the budget ruled how things were done. The confusion by the 2 old fart actors was intentional to the script..the actress is the same woman who testified at Alexis's murder trial in 1984. This whole production was lacking and a total disappointment..the corner cutting was very visible.
I have to agree, the corner cutting is so visible. Firstly, the recasting of Steven and Adam was ridiculous. The lame tie-ups of the previous cliffhangers ("they just gave the Nazi art away" and "she managed to turn in mid air and land on him but he didn't fare too well") were just lazy and the actual plotline was appalling (Krystle programmed to kill Blake etc). They should have left Dynasty as it was, as frustrating as the end cliffhangers were they were better than this mess.
why is the main hall at the mansion all different from how it looked during all 9 seasons? and if its to b where alexis and dex fell over in the last episodes of the series, how come did blake get shot int he "old" staircase in the same episode? I would have thought since Filoli was the basis for the original set they cold have used that house to shot in. The foyer in Filoli is a mirror image as the one on the set except a different scale and the stairs are reversed. All one had to do was flip the film and it would look like the set. The house used for this was once owned by Elton John.

I know the stairway is on the left side in the original but I thought they used a mirror trick for that coz in all othes Seasons the big front entrance is straight to the stairs.
But in season 2 the front door is down the hallway and the stairs are in a different wing far away.
No, the pilot was filmed on location at Filoli and many clips were filmed there (cars pulling into the driveway, people using the front door). But seasons 1/2 were filmed on a sound stage. The set was reconstructed several times early in the production which flowed diffeently than the house. For a LA based production to film on location in Northern CA would have been prohibitive to finance. Unions aren't cheap, restrictions on the hours worked & nite work, Food, lodging, travel too.

That was hysterical! With all his character's wealth he's driving in a Taurus. And what made zero sense was the mansion going up for sale when Jeff could have settled the debt and bought it himself. It's so hard to believe that the Shapiros and the Pollocks brought us this. The wreck of the season finale should have been left and the storyline pushed up 5 yrs so as wash themselves of the last season and start fresh. Sable should have been part of this as well..what was with the fashion people?
Um.....I thought Krystle was at the Carrington Mansion, not Carlton Hotel. Didn't Dex and Alexis go over the railing int he hotel?
