You might not like Schilling, but way back in the mid 1990's he was doing charity work with the Philly ALS society before MLB's involvement with the disease reached the prominence it has today. Heck, he even named his son Gehrig Schilling. He loved the Gehrig story just like many of us do, so give him his due.
