I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one DS, I personally loved Darksiders. True it had GOW, Zelda, and other game elements in it. I thought it did a great job of using those elements in a great way.

I played a demo of Darksiders. I didn't like it that much. Playing New SMB is fun and chaotic as hell when playing with 4 people. I am looking forward to MAG, Heavy Rain, and the new Final Fantasy game*. Demon's Souls looks pretty good as well.

God of War SUCKS. Darksiders is nowhere even close to God of War.  It's VERY close to Zelda though.

It's one of the best games in years. Great gameplay, great mechanics, great graphics. What's the problem? It's apparent he didn't play very far into the game and neither did you. The games gets better and better as you go along. You fail.

It's gotten VERY different reviews, i've seen a rate all the way down from 6,9 up to the 10/10 on the box - i follow IGN and Gamespot (though they are very different sometimes in their reviews) but it didn't get above 9 in either, infact it only got 7,5 on the IGN review - so i didn't really care to much for it, it's. And i understand what you mean with the God of War part, but can't totally agree, God Of War just set a standard for hack'n'slash, that there has to be gore ! :D
