the truth can't be defined as what everyone believes because there's not a lot of things that everyone can agree upon. som e people think Bush is a good president, some people think he's bad, so what's the truth there? to me, the only way to define the truth is that what one person believes is true, is the truth for them, because the human race will never be able to agree on everything, so there can never be one "truth" to each question.

That only works for questions of personal opinion like for example "Do you think the president is doing a good job?" There are some things that are true to everyone, for example we revolve around the sun, gravity, etc. I would use history as examples, but if you have read 1984 you never look at history books the same.
