  • The Deagan Organ Chimes sound really cool... but they look awkward, unwieldy, and distracting.

  • Great!

  • does anyone have any idea how hard it is and how much work and practice it takes to perform the way these guys are doing??.... Only the timing it must take to play these notes with the kinda bells theyt have! If you have any idea you must be like me: mistified!

  • these guys are called the dapper dans

  • just so you know the group is called the Dapper Dans ;)

  • this makes me happy

  • can someone please tell me what in the earth TheARomero is talking about?

  • Everyone should check this new band "Castlecomer" out.

They are like a Barbershop Quintet/ Folk Rock Band.

Type in "Castlecomer - Amazing Grace"

    It could change your life!!!!

  • I may be wrong, but I believe the bass in this video is Jim Campbell of the quartet The Perfect Gentlemen. Not sure who the others are.

  • Unfortunatly I think The Chordettes sing this song best x

  • What the heck are they using for the bell like sounds?

  • @fantomfotog If you find out, let me know. I don't really understand how they work, but they look cool as hell

  • @fantomfotog They're called Deagan Organ Chimes (also called Deagan shaker chimes). They were novelty instruments made at the turn of the last century. According to the Dans themselves, these antique chimes date to 1901.

  • these awesome four gentlemen are the amazing dapper dans!, love these guys!

  • oh...240p...we meet again...

  • bad qualety

  • @kurarinetto it's the dapper dans!

  • The name of this group is The Dapper Dans, and every Disney Resort has a Dapper Dans quartet in their Magic Kingdom.

  • @mattcarrollfan13 WRONG!!!! Paris doesn't.... :(

  • @DaniBolton: Oh, well that sucks. I know Anaheim, Orlando, and Hong Kong do at least.

  • i like the part at 1:27

  • I remember seeing them when I went to Disneyland. They were REALLY good.

  • does disney still have them??

  • @yoface5494 Hell yeah.

  • @PudgeMountin5000 YAY!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • Aww I wish the audio quality was higher :(

  • If I don't make it as a music teacher this is what I want to do forever. <3

  • These are the Dapper Dans :D

  • i love disney

  • It would actually be a good job to have in my opinion, but I like to sing. You would have to have that special talent to want that job.

  • Why are all quartet videos shitty quality??

  • WORST JOB EVER

  • @SJGibbons1000

    baiters gonna bait

  • You know there are like 16 members of the Dapper Dans across the world and in every Disney theme park?

And there don't have Angklungs. They have Deagan Organ Chimes (which only have three harmonics of the same note, unlike Angklungs which are usually of multiple registers).

  • Just to let you know, they're called The Dapper Dans.

  • i wanna be the purple one i like purple :D

  • i love this video, because you guys using ANGKLUNG on your hands... it's West Java (Indonesia) original traditional music equipment.... love Indonesia so much...

  • @fireblowjogja yea i just notice that to they use angklung but they sure has the steel one if not they will not make that sound... wish to have em...

  • what are they holding?

  • @SuperUkuleleGirl it's Steel Angklung.. the original angklung made from bamboo it's West java (Indonesia) original traditional music equipment..

  • @SuperUkuleleGirl it's Steel Angklung.. the original angklung made from bamboo it's West java (Indonesia) original traditional music equipment.. that what i think when i heard the sound but faintly i could hear that it's still has the bamboo angklung sound.. and the sound is more like symbal or something..

  • I LOVE these guys! my dad sings with them every year we go down! :D

  • Killed a parent lately for not spanking/ disciplining their BRATTY little BEASTS ? ? ?

  • What are the instruments they are using?

  • These are the Dapper Dans of Main Street USA. They have shows Wednesday-Sunday at 9:30, 10:30, 11:40. 12:30, 1:35, 3:40 on Main Street. Its a pretty awesome show!

  • Are these the guys who performed in Disney's remake of The Music Man?

  • i want one of those get-ups.

  • what did michael schumacher do in his tme out of F1 well the furthest to the right sums it up

  • @xxxSTARCHILD well spotted!

  • what are they holding?

  • I love barbershop to begin with but what I really love about this is their outfits! My eyes are just drawn to them!

  • Oranger's cover was better. Stubbs the zombie FTW!!!!!

  • I had hoped for the Metallica version.

  • wat are those thing there holding

  • i was in a show with one of the Dapper Dans :) he's really nice i can't tell if he's one of these 4

  • I am pretty sure this is Disney Land. This doesn't look like the place where they always sing in Disney World. Plus, I'm going to go with the girl who posted the video.

In any case, these guys are always great. I always stop to watch them. It's good to know that they have them in Disney World too. I wonder if they have other quartets in the parks in other countries. It would be cool to see the other quartets there too.

  • Can't post below.

"Dragonboyjgh:" I don't know....I love barbershop singing, and I've heard a lot of it; this is the first time I've heard this group, and the quality from Youtube might have affected it, but they just don't strike me as all that great. Their performances are stiff, as if this is something new and foreign to them - they just don't have the stage presence of so many of the amateur barbershop quartet singers. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't drive to Florida or California to see them.

  • Dapper Dans

  • What are those instruments?

  • @anlee617 They are Deagan Organ Chimes.

  • whats those things in their hands? :D

    i LIKE IT! xD

  • @AppleSteezyx3 They are called Shaker chimes.

  • i bet they get all the chicks

  • I Love This Song. SandMan By The Everly brothers

  • I think these guys are called the Dapper Dans, IIRC.

  • ppl i'm sure that they have a quartet in florida too... i've been to the disney world in florida and i've seen a quartet there too...

  • So cute! They make me smile a lot :D

  • Totally Cali....I was raised in Anaheim. I know these guys.

  • what are those instruments there holding?????

  • Deagan organ chimes.

  • Here's some interesting information guys, there's at least two major disney parks, who do their very best to imitate each other... Guess what? :D

  • @TheARomero54 ...Uh, what?

  • @kurarinetto Lol it makes sense that someone would think they saw these people in florida, in all honesty they might have... Companies pay their employees to travel, and I wouldnt be surprised if these guys were in florida at some point... Otherwise, Disney is a franchise, and thus the barbershops will be the same here, or in california

  • @kurarinetto

He's saying there's a quartet at both parks, and

that they're built much the same as each other.

Basically, you could see the same things at either one.

  • @TheARomero54 ...I know, I know! They both FAIL when compared to Cedar Point! :)

  • @TheARomero54 I dun get it. Haha

  • they're called the Dapper Dans...i have seen them live in person at a barbershop show and they were wonderful!

  • this is so cool :D

  • cool!

  • oh wow that was an awesome

  • holy shniztel bits I was was there at that exac moment

  • haha

    thats the proof!

we all be observed by the government

  • they are called organ chimes

  • @LazlosPlane O_o

  • @ LazlosPlane nooo! :( what are you thinking?

  • @LazlosPlane

    thats really hallerious!

  • yes lazlosplane a lot of disneyland workers do commit suicide and alot of disneyland workers take drugs in order to appear extremely happy and cheerful during work hours. it is pretty weird. im not saying they all do... but alot more than you think do.

  • ah yay! : )

  • How do those chimes work?

  • what do you call those chimes?

  • nice threads

  • This song is also sung in Grease 2

  • Song reminds me of Back To The Future

  • Exactly.

  • @PolloBoy11 I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that

  • bravo, bravo xx

  • lol the chimes remind me of the build/buy theme from the first sims game

  • The chimes are "Deacon Organ Chimes" invented in 1901 and manufactured until about 1920 (information from Wikipedia and the Disney site)

  • These guys are called the Dapper Dans, they did the voices for The Be Sharps in the simpsons episode where homer, apu, barney and principle skinner are in a barbershop quartet,,, they are also in the haunted mansion film

  • Yep, i will be number 5!!!

  • That last chord at the end with the chimes was beautiful.

  • this is Disney Word in Orlando... not Disney Land in California. sorry im a stickler (i live in orlando)

  • No, actually, it's Disneyland in California.

  • you sure? these same dudes are in Florida

  • Yes, I'm sure. I shot this when I was in California. I've never even been to Flordia.

  • i apologize... i thought you were mistaken. in Disney World, the same-looking guys stand infront of similiar-looking building

  • @kurarinetto i've never been to Flordia either... @smogler, is it nice there?

  • @kurarinetto theres a quartet called dapper dans in disney florida and they wear the same color clothes and use those metal thingys

  • @smogler It's DISNEY all the same. I'm pretty sure they're bound to have at least a couple of similarities. Also, I'm pretty sure someone would know if they've ever been to Florida or not as opposed to California.

  • @smogler lol, you guys do the dapper dans travel from disneyland to disneyland?

  • @smogler Dapper Dans are at every Disney park around the world (except Paris)

  • @kurarinetto Corerct. DEFINITELY Anaheim. I sang with Jim Campbell (singing bass... in red) AND the Dapper Dans for about 10 years. FOR SURE.....California! :-)

  • thanks, i was going to ask which resort it was but you answered my qustion.

i went to euro disney the first year it opened it was brilient would love to do all of them on day and take my nieces and nephews.

  • @smogler I don't live in Florida, but I've been to WDW enough and have paid enough attention to detail to know that the building they are standing in front of is not in Walt Disney World... This is Disneyland's Dapper Dans....

  • dude.. how are you gonna correct the girl who posted the video and was THERE...?? idiots...

  • @britanifreeman I wouldn't say so

  • @smogler its possible that they are employed by Disney and they rotate when they work at each location

  • @smogler Ummmm ya know that Disneyland and Disneyworld both have a barbershop quartet?

  • @smogler Disney is allowed to have multiple barbershop quartets

  • At 1st I thought they were waving guns around, lol. I'm special.

  • 2 good! but hey, it isnt like the most entertaining and professional musicians are at disney or anything... tee hee.

  • I saw this group live... they just shake the instruments back and for and the pipes hit each other.

  • JIMMY

  • What were those instruments? And can someone explain how they work?

  • They're called Deagan Organ Chimes, they were made over 100 years ago. They're rather awkward, my only guess is that they're somewhat like a couple of organ pipes on a handle, then on the other side of the handle there are little triggers for each pipe...

  • those are the dapper dans and some moved out my uncle jim is there the one with the maley vioce

  • Imagine this was your actual job. F*****g jealous..

  • I doubt they get paid enough to pay their bills, but any income is a bonus.

  • im in love

  • This is the Dapper Dans of Disneyland. The bass (red outfit) is Jim Campbell, the director of my chorus - Southland Harmony!

  • absolutely.

  • Do you think they get tied up and beaten by Mickey if they get it wrong?

  • @assdrew you don't know know barbershop, kid. they could make 10 mistakes in this song, and you'd be completely unawares, because they are that awesome.

  • @dragonboyjgh I don't know....I love barbershop singing, and I've heard a lot of it; this is the first time I've heard this group, and the quality from Youtube might have affected it, but they just don't strike me as all that great. Their performances are stiff, as if this is something new and foreign to them - they just don't have the stage presence of so many of the amateur barbershop quartet singers. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't drive to Florida or California to see them.

  • nice instruments

  • loooool

  • Swoon

  • oops, my mistake, but they are much the same, Disney, the company trains them in the same way with mostly the same shows! They're still good!!! LOL

  • There are numerous versions of 'The Dapper Dans' at Disney World, the individual quartets DO take on the occasional 'job' but can't do it under that specific name. We had these guys at our local Barbershop Show a couple years ago, and it was FANTASTIC! They really do know how to put on a show!! They used the slightly changed name of 'The Dapper Daniels' and they DID have those instruments with them, it was GREAT!!!!

  • Nah. These aren't the Dapper Dans. This is the group in DisneyLAND. lol.

  • what are thsoe instruments theyre using?

  • deagan organ chimes

  • how do those gadgets work?

  • for their backgound perhaps...

    haha..

  • there are balls that roll down those pipes and hit the bottom to make sounds.

  • The Dapper Dans! These Guys Rock!!!

  • i remember seeing them when i went there

  • what are they holding?

  • angklung, its like a malay instrument if im not wrong

  • They seem to be Shaker chimes/Organ chimes, cool little instruments,

  • lmao yall look like the wiggles!!!!!!!!!

  • they are a hit : )

  • they sang to me when i was there. like directly to me.

    it was amazing.

  • what are they holding?

  • Comment removed

  • cool they're using the angklung..i think..haha

  • im off to disneyland now lol. really good. i usually dont like sandman covers but i like this one.

  • funny costume

  • these guys are called the "Daper Dans," they are the resident barbershop quartet at Disneyland, and did most of the vocal work in the Simpson's episode "Homer's Barbershop Quartet."

Just in case you were interested...

  • I just saw them a few weeks ago

    Baba Baba Baba Booeeeey

  • i love to hear bargershop quartets i am in chours and in an adisioned group of 14 students called chamber choir we have lots of fun and we perform in diffrent places too it is alot of fun

  • That bass part sounds fun!

  • They look like the wiggles

  • amen :]

  • MOSHHHHHH !!

  • well it cant be the same people everyday...everyone needs a day off.

  • Degan SHAKER chimes, and they are kind of hard to find. And I don't think they are the Dapper dans because they are not the same people. I don't See Drew or Aaron... So I think they are different. Plus they sing in a different key, these guys are much higher on the pitch scale.

  • if you are a girl you can do Sweet Adelines, its the girl version of barbershop. its soooo much fun

  • Barbershop quartets are so prooo lol xD

The Sandman song is one of the best!

  • So savage.
