might wanna practice at keeping your head down. when you lift up anticipating the shot you'll start picking your head up before the shot is fired. Food For Thought.
you wont believe me but i shot around 20 rounds with the remington 700 sps and im 12 but i love this gun i get around 2 inch groupings so i put a coin on side of my target and i shoot it it looks super cool but besides that its accurate well built.but for Christmas am getting a Remington 700 30-08 aka 308.nice video to
@bobthebadash yes the remington 700 is a great gun I can shoot a soda can at over 500 yard with it in .270 win but I saw on tv that some of the 700's was shooting when people touches the bolt so that is not good but I never had that problem with my rifle I think the show was on cnbc and it was called remington under fire
G'Day boys, I've got one and it's proberly the best deer rifle we've used here in OZ. We have taken dozens of fallow deer and I shot a hog deer stag and doe with it also.
It's proberly a bit light as a cal. for our sambar deer, still leagal on them as well.
It's very accurate and I run 130 gr ballistic tips, taken animals out to 280 mtrs to date.
I have one. It's a great gun.I used to hunt with a 260 but then I bought a 270,it's great for hunting deer, but you need a leupold scope not nikon. But nikon scopes are good scopes.
you don't need that bdc silliness. If you are using 150 grain, zero it 1" high at 100yds and it will be dead on at 200yds. 250 to 300 yds put your crosshairs towards the top of the shoulder and squeeze. Your freezer will be full before you know it and without dropping the green for the bells and whistles. I have been doing this for a couple years while a buddy springs for the bdc, we both kill what we shoot at except I do it a little cheaper. To each their own. Good luck and happy shooting
@alderaforall actually they offer the the bdc reticle for the same price i believe, if not its only a 10 dollar difference, its just something nice to have
@alderaforall i have a 270, and i have a Nikon scope with the bdc and it does help. i shoot 130 grains and yes 100, 200, and 300 yards are pretty much dead on. but after that the bdc really helps. i have shot out to 700 yards, and the bdc with only a 9 power scope it really helps to have a hold point on the cross hair.
i got the regular remington 700 .270 cammo for c-mas. just orderd the harris bipod. but ididnt get the swivle one. it still has enough movement to sim doesnt it?
i have the model with the swivle so im not sure, im sure you will fine though... it just helps when your not on even terrain. off the bench should be good
@motocross363 yes. Im goin for whitetail next week

what is the recoil like on this gun for a 140 something pound teenager?
chapanese96 2 years ago
hard to say, but compared to other guns its not bad at all and you would get used to it and eventually enjoy it if that makes any sense.
MilltowneMike 2 years ago
You should use some sand bag for more accurate and lower the bipod for more stable.
peerayotk 2 years ago
