If we followed the US Constitution, "equal protection" would mean something. But the unelected fourth branch of government -- the immense, unaccountable federal bureaucracies -- like the EPA, doesn't give a damn what you, congress, nor I think -- what's fair -- or whether the Constitution authorizes its existence. Which is something to think about long and hard in 2012. It's all about money. You want the EPA deciding where America's money goes? EPA fees/fines are taxation without representation.

Hate the wealthy? Give to the less fortunate? "Even the playing field" ?

Here are average yearly incomes of several countries:

Brazil $8,135

Venezuela $11,444

India $1,054

China $3,212

USA $45,835

To even the playing field, we must "de-develop the USA" , redistribute the wealth globally (take your income) vis cap and trade and other measures. How does socialism look to you now? It's not taking money from the wealthy -- it's taking your money!

What this will do is Cap jobs in America (so there will be fewer jobs) and those former US jobs will then be Traded amongst other countries that will make products that US companies are no longer allowed to make with this absurd legislation called cap & trade.

Eventually jobs by humans will decline over time. The advancement of technology will limit jobs. Its a zero sum game for employment, technology will eventually do the basic jobs of humans. Its present now; go to the grocery stores, auto check-out lanes. Eventually all lanes will be like that with 1-3 humans monitoring them.

A machines chance of making a mistakes is far less than a human.

@talebi818 Thats why eventually I see it necessary to progress beyond a currency driven society. With current technology we have the means to provide for the people of the world with almost no use for the largest percentage of human labor. However, as long as you need money to live, and the company needs you to have money to buy products... then everyone needs you working. It slows technological and sociological progress to make sure you keep laboring for a dollar in a profit-driven system.

I did not mean to sound totally negative, but I neglected to say...thank you Donn...for posting this. Well produced & very informative. Ultimately, it makes NO SENSE IF THESE COMPANIES CANNOT CUT EMISSIONS. How in the world can cap & trade pass if companies do not have the technology available...to cut emissions? I will check out the other videos. Thanks again Donn.

GE & CEO Jeffery Immelt will make BILLIONS from Obamas Cap & Trade scheme. They're lobbying heavily for its passage. Not only are they the largest wind turbine generator maker, they are going to profit heavily from the cap & trade credits as possibly the sole secondary market trader of these credits. Now do you understand why NBC, MSNBC, CNBC fully supporting the Obama agenda, & the hate-filled, anti-conservative spew from their networks? BECAUSE GE OWNS NBC. THIS LEGISLATION IS GARBAGE.

It is not health care reform that the liberals care about. What they care about is making more people dependent on them.

There is no choice involved.

You will pay for govt. subsidized health care insurance whether you have it or not. There's only so much much in taxes you can levy before there is no incentive to earn. Cap and trade is another way to take money out of your pocket so they can spend it for you because they know how to direct your life and energy better than you do.

Politicians and pundits rarely explain the difference between 'carbon' and carbon dioxide. CO2 weighs 3.7 times more than the carbon that is burned to create it. $35 per ton of CO2 x 3.7 = $129.5 per ton of carbon, so Cap & Trade will double the price of coal and increase the price of natural gas by 50%. It is interested to note that zero carbon emission nuclear power is not given any credit or standing in the cap & trade legislation. For more info see AmericanEnergyIndependence(dot)com
