and here you said it would be boring! hell no it is fuel to open the minds of the American sheeple... this also applies to the housing market and national debt! Is Dr Bartlett still alive? I would like to do an interview with him since the FED is pumping money into the system at a fanstaic rate... this just confirms my thought! "We are screwed."
wow. forget all the rest of the problems in the world. This is and Massive elephant in the room. Sadly we will only see it , before human population will collapse. Anyone care for Cigarette?
Oil problem? Stop using it to pus boats around. It's not efficient and that IS where most of it goes, to navies and cruiseliners, no bullshit. Can't wait to hear the next section and see where else he expects us to nod like robots. I think if it was too crowded to fuck, I might start getting homicidal. Any other takers?
@texasdawn123 I don't think anyone ever said China was a utopia. The overpopulation situation is unfortunate but they did what they had to do to stave off another mass famine. You are fortunate to have the freedom to have four beautiful children in the US and you are correct about selective abortions yielding gender imbalances that will have consequences of their own. But please, don't patronize China. They can't afford to let their women operate their vaginas like a clown car.
@1StoryImageFigure1 Oh I'm aware the Great Chinese Famine was caused (if not at least exacerbated) by the government. But it wasn't corruption. It was incompetence. The government there is still corrupt but much more pragmatic in how it runs the country. My point is that the future likelihood of another famine has been helped by a mandated reduction in fertility, along with advances in agriculture. Less people in an already heavily populated space reduces the likelihood of runing fertile land.
@sloranger88 It was caused by Mao transfering millions of food producers, at gun point, into an industry that they did not know how to run. It was caused by the government, not overpopulation as the believers would have you believe.
@1StoryImageFigure1 That is what I just said. The Great Chinese Famine was caused by governmental incompetence. I am saying the one child policy (along with better agricultural practices and better leadership since Mao) have contributed to the Chinese economic miracle and lessened further likelihood of famine in the country. Without the one child policy, the Chinese may have bred themselves into further poverty, food scarcity and squalor. It was the right thing for their situation going forward.
@sloranger88 As we both agree, government caused those problems. Overpopulation did not. Societies now-a-days have famines because of bad government or imperialist governments. not overpopulation. You are blaming people who do not have any control over their own lives for problems that rich and powerful people cause.
All of our social programs are collapsing from dwindling birth rates. Do Liberals forget/ignore this? Bye-bye Social Security and Medicare! Not enough babies to support you. The problem is worldwide. I grew up listening to this overpopulation crap. Oops, looks like another big Liberal fraud. Maybe they should have listened to God rather than worshiping themselves.
@texasdawn123 Dwindling birth rates are a good thing. Who cares about social security and medicare we can develop better programs to deal with a smaller population, but falling birth rates is a great thing for our prosperity. We should restrict births like China does, as well as the rest of the world should do, so that we can prevent our world from becoming an energy void wasteland.
@iFreeThinker My husband is Chinese. I look at my son and my 3 beautiful younger daughters and thank God every day they were allowed to exist unlike in China. So you can keep your tyranny while I enjoy my freedom. BTW, 30 million young Chinese men with no women to marry and tens of millions of girls abandoned or aborted. What a Utopia! I would rather value human life and run out of fossil fuels if that is our choice.
@texasdawn123 Your "freedom" is going to cause the entire human race to go extinct, you do realize that? I'm not advocating killing babies, or even abortion for that matter. If you have to abort babies you've already made a mistake, not using proper chemical or physical contraception. The Chinese government has to force parent's to only legally have one baby because if they didn't the entire country would collapse from starvation and they would all die. Is that what you would advocate?
@texasdawn123 What you see in China is the result of a society that has not had a culture of using birth control, and now they are in the horrible situation they are and are having to take horrible measures to try to control it. First use a little common sense and see what type of situation they are in before simply calling it tyranny. It's terrible I agree, but the alternate is mass starvation and economic collapse.
He says another 40 years before mining coal at wherever he said becomes uneconomical to mine. SO IT BECOMES ECONOMICAL TO MINE AS COAL RUNS OUT. What is it that people don't understand about the free market. Free market capitalism is the most powerful force in the world, to bad in the monetary and banking world it rarely exists anymore
@tommy35ss You can be proven correct. This was filmed in 1986. I live in Texas oil patch. Plenty of doubling times left in coal, gas, and oil. Prices go up, costly harvesting becomes profitable. Liberals are Luddites in technology and economics. Math is correct but his variables are wrong.
@ispepteid1 in part 6 of these videos at about the 3 and a half minute mark he discusses an article in Fortune magazine clearly dated November 22 1999. how do you suppose he got hold of that in early 1998? nice try though...
@tommy35ss You don't understand what he means by economical. There is a certain amount of energy required to extract a barrel of oil, and as you extract more and more oil you get to the really difficult portion at the bottom of the oil wells and reserves that takes a large amount of energy to extract and process. When it becomes "uneconomical" to extract, that means it takes the energy you get from 100 barrels of oil to get 100 barrels of oil from the ground, which is just wasting time.
@iFreeThinker when it gets to that point it will be economical to use other forms of energy such as solar, wind, nuclear, and any other source we can find. That's the beauty of the free market, it solves problems by itself
@tommy35ss You're right, if we had a free market, but we don't. We have a corporate oligarchy system where corporations just lobby and pay their favorite politician to get tens of billions in oil subsidies. As long as that goes on no one will ever try to have a reasonable swap to cheaper, efficient energy. The oil industry is just a money laundering system from the government to their pockets.
And adding to my other comment neither does Obama who has grown the money supply more than all other presidents combined. The dollar collapse is impending so read, watch, research, and learn because the world is about to change drastically
He seems to be a big fan of Jimmy Carter who yes may have understood energy consumption but didn't understand a 5-10% of growth in the money supply each year leading to bad inflation hurting a lot of people. What most people also don't understand is the free market deals with these problems population growth and energy consumption faster and better than any government or person ever could
"Theres a widly held belief that if you throw enough money into the ground that the oil will just appear." *cough* Republican *cough* ideal, *cough, cough* excuse me, lots of polution from all the burnt oil in the air.
Why do we still use hydrocarbon?....Dead plants and shit. We have a variety of alternative sources of energy: Geo-thermal, Wind, Solar, tidal/wave,Photovoltaic. Eventually stars moons(Like titan by Saturn) and who knows maybe dark matter or dark energy.
@teewilson333 It's because we have a addiction or love towards fossil fuels, it's cheaper and more efficient (at least for now) compared to other sources, people are ignorant and stupid, and the middle east is keeping us addicted so that they get more money. Also, we are all scared of change and we are too lazy to change (in general).
He is correct, but what will happen as it is now is the prices of natural resources are rising rapidly (3 to 4 times a few years ago), which in turn will reduce the significant consumption intake. With prices that high, firms will hopefully have enough motivation to come up with alternative energy so by the time we run out, we can switch to renewable. Also, when its close to run out, this guy doesn't take into account the enormous price spike that will occur.
@drf7at1 I am unable to understand why such motivation is only present at 11:58 or 11:59 when we have a society led by those that understand arithme....OH WAIT....Thaaaat's right. We're doomed
I have a feeling that this is all worst case scenario and he's painting a worse picture than the one that really exists. That being said, we should consider his point anyway.
He does not paint a picture about reality, he wants to make people think about the principles of arithmetic.... So that they can implement it in realistic situations, and now what they are saying.
I know alot of people will hate me for saying this... but this guy has barely a clue of what he's talking about. All he's doing is playing with numbers and % and doubles stuff. He totaly ignores recycling and modern technologys as renewable energies. Flame on.
@datboYsEEEEb I am with you on this. One of the most stupid things many people believe is that they think math holds true in the real world context. They don't understand that numbers are pure imaginary concepts and when we apply them to concrete objects (i.e. people) the original mathematics equation is no longer true as a new factor that cannot be reduced to numbers introduces to the equation, and that is CONTEXT.
@PANICKmedia Nope. They won't go to hell because they didn't believe, They'll go to hell because THEY'RE SINNERS, and ONLY the blood of Jesus Christ can wash you of all sin! You can't "earn heaven" by being a "good person"--there is NO SUCH THING! You are all wretches! Your only hope for salvation is in receiving the FREE GIFT of grace from God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross for your sins.
Humble yourself. You'll never deserve heaven, but God made a way.
@dougmoerhoffman I think the jew's get a freebie cuz they're the "chosen people" but I hope Muslim's and all the other abrahamic religions get in too... Come to think of it though, how the hell did religion start getting discussed on here!?
The Rapture will remove all the Christians and children, that'll leave the rest of the world to all you people who are so worried about overpopulation.
Hint: 7 years later, you've all run the world into the ground.
When the Earth will begin splitting and collapsing, resulting in natural catastrophies of significant proportions, which already starts to happen today, then perhaps humans will wake up.
come on, there are technologies to make cars run on water since the 60s, and free electricity from the athmosphere since tesla, so overpopulation is not the problem right now, its the guys that own the resources want to keep selling them to us until they run out of it so they can keep living like kings while they sell natural resources as their personal property, when in reality that doesnt belong to them but to all of us sons to the pacha mama.
quite obvious though really, when i talk about this sort of thing to most people, they just say im talking nonsence, but thats only because they either think they know more than me, or they just dont understand it.
yep, we who understand are idiots and crazy people. They.. who UNDERstand and dont comprehend are Normal people. , yipi ki yee. thumb up for Crazy People.
Well... Now the first decade of XXI century is over. Did america consumed all the oil from all the last century together just on this last decade? Where did they found more oil to consume? September 11 can explain where they found it.
Google:- "Karl Burkart: Five breakthroughs that will make solar cheaper than coal" Scientific Knowledge DOUBLES EVERY FIVE YEARS NOW FOLKS!..Dr. Bartlett does not factor 'Progress' into his equations! Global demographics reveal that prosperous families are small families, negative population growth. Universal prosperity is a proven best remedy for stabilizing world population. Solar power "HALVES" in price over a given period! "The Most UNRELIABLE Video You'll Ever See" Dr. Bartlett's WAFFLE!
I think the point of this video is not to talk about other advances that will be made, but that Dr. Barlett is merely pointing out the cold, mathematical reality. This video series explains beautifully exponential growth and uses peak oil and world popuation as the means to do this. The message simply is, we well have to make changes, whether we want to or not. And you have correctly pointed out what could be some of those changes: prosperous families or solar energy.
@derfowvayer My fear is that Dr. Bartlett's 'true' extrapolations already inform gavernment policy. As he said 'true' projections taken out of context are very dangerous! National Security issues are a Military Concern! We read that laboratory rats fed a diet of GM soya have sterile pups growing hair inside their mouth. The Military would only be interested in the 'Sterility'. We learn some vaccinations cause sterility. "The Bartlett Effect" ...Please don't take my word! Check it out yourself!
@JavaSpitLava Correct!...but rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic is wasting precious time! Humanity MUST develop advanced and sustainable energy resources. Tidal, Wind, Wave and Solar Power should be assessed on "Energy Economics" NOT "Monetary Economics" If a system delivers a substantial energy profit, (ie. produces more energy than energy consumed in construction) then we should adopt it ASAP. Delay will not serve our interests! Waiting for cheaper alternatives is the expensive option
@WarzSchoolchild well we could just destroy all industrial involvement with the world...let nature kill off the 60% of mankind that overpopulates us(in a social darwinism manor)....and allow us to build society once again into the world of luxury through time.....it took us 5000 years to get where we are today....im sure if we waited another 5000 years to live like this....the world would stabilize....its the only solution i see
@JavaSpitLava That is what I fear Dr. Bartlett's hypothesis is leading to. "Population Reduction". a task that is generally assigned to the military. Bartlett's equations can be inverted, we could 'shrink' our consumption and population painlessly. I guarantee the military solution would be very painful. Dr. Bartlett is sounding the alarm bells! no blame in that. Adapting industry to meet sustainable targets will save it from catastrophic decline. Going back to the stone age is a grim prospect!
@WarzSchoolchild i dont think we need this technology..as it grows, we grow dependent...but this is a well known fact...i dont want us to end up like a shriveled, pale, non resistant to disease, alien like creatures..if we keep this up....it will be the invention that kills us ultimately...as it grows..we make more factories to produce it..the end, result we pollute more...we cannot use 70% of the earths water...so what happens when these chemicals meet?....have you ever heard of methyl hydrate?
It's already bad enough that so many people suffer under poverty or political impression while we Westerners can live our lives relatively smoothly - and now you're suggesting the death of 60% of humanity so the rest can survive?
Sorry, no. You sound like a fanatic, and we don't need yoor kaahn around here.
@twooffour lol....it will resolve this....trust me...they are fighting for money...and once we convert back to natural conditioning...money and most of the problems we have today will die off...and the new one will be survival...
Well, here's a few things that won't die off if we smash ourselves back into the stone age - violence; tribalism; danger of overpopulation (if they get an opportunity to breed, they will); disease; natural disasters; substance abuse; greed and rivarly with or without the metal coins.
Good enough for you?
Take all that and add the almost complete lack of capability to battle any of that.
Am I still supposed to "trust" you? You're a crazy crackpot with poorly thought-out ideas, and your "proposition" means worsening the current condition by, well, a lot.
Ask yourself, what is the right way to go: striving to improve and perfect the current condition for EVERYONE, while thinking about and providing for the future also? or bring about the end of all effort and progress and abandon morality and humanity just so the human species can continue to exist...
... on a relatively inharmed planet way into the future, no matter in what miserable condition?
What do you think is the better idea, to try and make things better for everyone, or cause suffering and death just so we can say that "our species will survive"?
@twooffour the more complex we get....the more complex our needs get...the more we produce these needs...the more we make facilities to produce these needs....its a growing cycle of destroy everything we touch....and for what?..... to live in better and better versions of this lazy, backwards, caustic form of evolution...sure we arnt doing much harm now...but the future is unavoidable....we will destroy ourselves from our dependence on this obsessive technological advancement....
@twooffour what do you mean?...it all has to do with the fall of industry...which was what i was talkin about in the first comment...the one you commented on.....maby you didnt read it too well..
well, we would all go back to riding bicyclyes, walking, riding horses and growing our own foods. OR we will discover some new energy source, what ever that may be. And maybe something else will happen before we run out petrol, such as bird flu, asteroids or global melt. SHTF. Face it, we are at this point little more than locusts on the land, consuming what ever we can find. Unless we can come to respect all of life and its origin.
@7digitalSunday Also, I am thinking this man is out of date. Since his lecture, we have developed ways to tap into the earths' reserves deeper into the crust. so we can suck even more oil from her. or strip more even more top soil off to find coal. he is correct that we are living on borrowed time. we have limited resources. currently, but scientists are working on other forms of energy production, and producing things from nothing.
So atheist believe everything came from something?Whats the something?Whats its nature, character, traits? Are you accountable to it spiritually, mentally, physically? Christ says that something is God and we sinned against it so He collided with us on the cross where He offers to take our sin in exchange for Himself. An atheist's self (what they truly worship) hates this it so much that they try to convince the rest of themself that it doesn't exist till their self betrays them hellishly.
@lowellkylewilliamson I can't respond to everything you said in one go, so bear with me.
First, atheists do not hold to any one belief about anything. We're not like Christians - we're not an organised religion with a dogma that you have to hold to be considered an atheist. Atheists are just members of a category of belief, in that the only thing that unites us is a lack of belief in the existence of deities. There is no uniting opinion among us as to how the world came about.
@lowellkylewilliamson Now me, I do believe that everything came from something, which accords with the Laws of Conservsation. That something is best called 'emptiness', though I like to give it the more poetic name "void".
@lowellkylewilliamson The nature of emptiness is what you'd think: the state of being empty. It is completely empty space-time, perfectly 'flat' with nothing in it. Just existence itself.
@lowellkylewilliamson I would argue that all three are the same - the body, which is composed of particles. You cannot be accountable to empty space-time because empty space-time doesn't hold you to account. It doesn't have a mind, a will, a purpose or what have you. Although, in a way you are, because the particles that compose you were born from it via quantum fluctuations at the Big Bang, as is the current theory.
@lowellkylewilliamson If the something I speak of is God, then that is very strange. I know that's not what you meant. We have nowehere to meet on this point because I do not believe in God, and you do. Incidentally, the word "God" means "that which is, or is to be, worshipped". For the record I do not worship empty space-time.
@lowellkylewilliamson You're opinions on what atheists think and believe are wrong. As I said, we are too diverse to say what we all think, as if we were a religion. Also, you write poorly - I'm having trouble following the rest of that sentence. But, if I do follow: Atheists don't necessarily hate the idea of God sacrificing himself for us. We are just generally unconvinced that God, as you would concieve of Him, exists in the first place.
@lowellkylewilliamson Many atheists, including me, also think that God's sacrifice was, in a word, silly: God allowed sin to come into being. The accumulation of sin inspired His wrath. So, to save His creation from His wrath which resulted from His own mistake, He had to have Himself killed and resurrected. And that, somehow, takes our sin away and allows us into Heaven. It doesn't make sense to me.
@7digitalSunday I'm sorry, but this is a great misunderstanding. Nothing is created from nothing. Many people from the first world especially the americans believe, that energy comes from nothing or from god himself.
But if you produce something, it comes from something and its always a change from one state of matter or energy to another. another example: if you earn money, you take it from somenone. Only the FED creates money from nothing.
Divide 360 degrees by 7, and then -1....and then times 7 = 353 .... 7 are missing...basiclly those are Fibonnaci sequence too, and he showed it in the rectangle example, conclusion, 7% = fibonacci sequence as well, in a spiral growth.
@Arjunaseal That's dumb you took the 7 out when you subtracted the one from a seventh part and then multiplied 7 * 1 from the result so of course it 353 dork? What's yer point this is stupid?
Recent reports suggest that production of phosphorus(Wich is essential in making of fertilizer) may have peaked, leading to the possibility of global shortages by 2040.[20] In 2007, at the rate of consumption, the supply of phosphorus was estimated to run out in 345 years.[21] However, scientists are now claiming that a "Peak Phosphorus" will occur in 30 years and that "At current rates, reserves will be depleted in the next 50 to 100 years."
we can't be that dumb this professor is basically brainwashing his students with depopulation and new world order propaganda its amazing how open he is about how people are bacterias and "earth" will take care of us BUT mind you AIDS was lab created our water and food are fully contaminated on purpose and people are sterilized thinking it's a flue vaccine which btw carries mercury and many diseases in it. Don't be brainwashed wake up and see how this people are holding back technology to kill!
shut your dumb ass up! what do you expect people to just keep demanding resources that are not gonna be there? why dont you look at a chart or something and see how out of control the population increase is since the industrial rev. its not some NWO problem. its people being irresponsible, and IGNORANT. if you want to stand your ground and argue with me, explain to me what will happen if we dont do anything about it. nothing too bad right?
If only we could use the energy from lightning... Lightning strikes the earth dozens of times each second, every single burst of lightning could keep the world going for some time. I don't know exactly how long, but if it were possible, we'd be safe. Great vids btw!
According to the big professor's prediction - we are now out of oil. He joins Malthus, Paul Erlich and the other Chicken Littles who shout the sky is falling. This is like some philosophy professor "proving" that we don't really exist. His numbers may be "right," but the world still hums along
Search for "FREE ENERGY Home Generator -Zero Point Energy - Off the Grid" on YouTube to find another example of how we are NOT the problem, we are the SOLUTION!
My intention is NOT to troll this series! I want to give others an alternative viewpoint... only that!
@bobbygnosis - That is NOT the only thing he is positing in this series. I have every right to post an opposing opinion and that is what I am doing. I will get to the 'population models' soon enough.
@TheHeurist You are correct. Just because one says a thing that is silly does not make all things said silly. I disagree with him regarding Global Warming, however, what he says about resource consumption and population is verifiable. I've done my own maths on this subject and what I've come to reflects what he says.
No matter how you cut it we're in for a bumpy ride. Petroleum will factor huge in that ride. I'm trying to reduce my own consumption. It'll get expensive soon.
@bobbygnosis - It is getting expensive because it is suppose to get that way. Our dependency upon oil is a sham. Also the belief that the world is overpopulated is a sham. Premature globalism NEEDS global problems in order to 'provide' us with global solutions! Don't you see this? Hegelian Dialectic through and through. Another example of the fraud: Global Warming... er.. I mean "Climate Change"... They want us to pay global taxes! Please look again.
@TheHeurist I know about Carbon Tax. I know it's retarded. We're long over-due for a revolution. The ownership class will do what they do until there's a breaking point. At which time we'll either grow up as a species or there's be blood shed. I'm hoping for the first one.
I also know about the Problem / Reaction / Solution stuff. We're in a bad spot. As long as you know how they manipulate you'll be able to counter it. That's very much worth talking about.
THE MESSIAH NOW WALKS THIS EARTH AND ASCENTION IS THE WAY ... DO NOT FEAR THIS AS THE UNIVERSE IS INFINITE ,SO LET HIM DO HIS MATH ON THE UNIVERSE, AND U WILL SEE THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM THAT CONNOT BE FIXED BY OUT CREATOR AS HE SPEAKS THRU ME..CGJAMES ...THE SECOND SON OF MAN GO TO FACE BOOK ....MESSAGETOJAMES..KNOW HIS WORD AND KNOW TO" LOVE THE ONE YOUR WITH" NO FEAR IS NOW HERE!!.......

Here, when he talks about math, no one is arguing. No one is saying, your math is wrong. What people debate is the application of his math. This video was about coal "at current levels." What about OTHER ENERGY? OTHER TECHNOLOGIES? But no, no. There is only coal on planet Earth and in space there is ONLY earth. History has no importance for us. Only bad things compound but not good things. Right. Technology doesn't compound, JUST consumption. Right...
@semasiologistics - Very good points. Every new technology that brings us away from our oil dependency is put down by the globalists. The people who have developed those technologies have been either bought out or murdered. The patents for these new technologies are being blocked.
It's great stuff about doubling times and such, but it is bad science! It is based upon globalist scarcity lies. The professor is completely given over to those lies. He simply provides a convincing plausibility for this scripted scarcity. Wake up people, you are being lied to. We are NOT running out of oil. Oil does NOT come from dinosaurs and dead plant life! Stop believing these lies.
as if oil is the only resource...there are already projects about building electric cars you know?they do not reach the speed of the ones running with oil but they will soon enough...there are a lot of resources to be used like the solar energy water energy wind energy also look up on the projects of Nikolas Tesla and you may see that oil was never that important...
@bobbygnosis Math can prove the moon is made of green cheese, if you start with false assumptions! I am a mathematician and that is how I know. Look up 'Axioms' on Wikilies (Wikileaks) to see what I mean.
@bobbygnosis - Addition is defined through the axioms. Mathematicians can develop mathematics where 2 + 2 does NOT equal four... or that 2 + 2 equals four in one direction and not in another...
This man is using FALSE premises as his basis for argumentation. The globalist elite want to create a problem big enough that only a global solution can fix it - hence Global Warming... or now it is called Climate Change (the pandering scientists were laid bare and had to change it).
We'll use hydro, nuclear, etc.

@sloranger88 It was caused by Mao transfering millions of food producers, at gun point, into an industry that they did not know how to run. It was caused by the government, not overpopulation as the believers would have you believe.
1StoryImageFigure1 1 month ago
@1StoryImageFigure1 That is what I just said. The Great Chinese Famine was caused by governmental incompetence. I am saying the one child policy (along with better agricultural practices and better leadership since Mao) have contributed to the Chinese economic miracle and lessened further likelihood of famine in the country. Without the one child policy, the Chinese may have bred themselves into further poverty, food scarcity and squalor. It was the right thing for their situation going forward.
sloranger88 1 month ago
@sloranger88 As we both agree, government caused those problems. Overpopulation did not. Societies now-a-days have famines because of bad government or imperialist governments. not overpopulation. You are blaming people who do not have any control over their own lives for problems that rich and powerful people cause.

All of our social programs are collapsing from dwindling birth rates. Do Liberals forget/ignore this? Bye-bye Social Security and Medicare! Not enough babies to support you. The problem is worldwide. texasdawn123 2 months ago
@texasdawn123 Dwindling birth rates are a good thing. Who cares about social security and medicare we can develop better programs to deal with a smaller population, but falling birth rates is a great thing for our prosperity. We should restrict births like China does, as well as the rest of the world should do, so that we can prevent our world from becoming an energy void wasteland.
iFreeThinker 2 months ago in playlist The Most IMPORTANT Video You'll Ever See
@iFreeThinker My husband is Chinese. I would rather value human life and run out of fossil fuels if that is our choice.
texasdawn123 2 months ago
@texasdawn123 Your "freedom" is going to cause the entire human race to go extinct, you do realize that? I'm not advocating killing babies, or even abortion for that matter. If you have to abort babies you've already made a mistake, not using proper chemical or physical contraception. The Chinese government has to force parent's to only legally have one baby because if they didn't the entire country would collapse from starvation and they would all die. Is that what you would advocate?
iFreeThinker 2 months ago
@texasdawn123 What you see in China is the result of a society that has not had a culture of using birth control, and now they are in the horrible situation they are and are having to take horrible measures to try to control it. First use a little common sense and see what type of situation they are in before simply calling it tyranny. It's terrible I agree, but the alternate is mass starvation and economic collapse.

He says another 40 years before mining coal at wherever he said becomes uneconomical to mine. SO IT BECOMES ECONOMICAL TO MINE AS COAL RUNS OUT. @ispepteid1 in part 6 of these videos at about the 3 and a half minute mark he discusses an article in Fortune magazine clearly dated November 22 1999. how do you suppose he got hold of that in early 1998? nice try though...
YourCommentWasStupid 1 month ago
@tommy35ss You don't understand what he means by economical. There is a certain amount of energy required to extract a barrel of oil, and as you extract more and more oil you get to the really difficult portion at the bottom of the oil wells and reserves that takes a large amount of energy to extract and process. When it becomes "uneconomical" to extract, that means it takes the energy you get from 100 barrels of oil to get 100 barrels of oil from the ground, which is just wasting time.
iFreeThinker 2 months ago in playlist The Most IMPORTANT Video You'll Ever See
@iFreeThinker when it gets to that point it will be economical to use other forms of energy such as solar, wind, nuclear, and any other source we can find. That's the beauty of the free market, it solves problems by itself
tommy35ss 1 month ago
@tommy35ss You're right, if we had a free market, but we don't. We have a corporate oligarchy system where corporations just lobby and pay their favorite politician to get tens of billions in oil subsidies. As long as that goes on no one will ever try to have a reasonable swap to cheaper, efficient energy. The oil industry is just a money laundering system from the government to their pockets.
iFreeThinker 1 month ago
And adding to my other comment neither does Obama who has grown the money supply more than all other presidents combined. The dollar collapse is impending so read, watch, research, and learn because the world is about to change drastically

He seems to be a big fan of Jimmy Carter who yes may have understood energy consumption but didn't understand a 5-10% of growth in the money supply each year leading to bad inflation hurting a lot of people. What most people also don't understand is the free market deals with these problems population growth and energy consumption faster and better than any government or person ever could

WarzSchoolchild 4 months ago
@WarzSchoolchild well we could just destroy all industrial involvement with the world...let nature kill off the 60% of mankind that overpopulates us(in a social darwinism manor)....and allow us to build society once again into the world of luxury through time.....it took us 5000 years to get where we are today....im sure if we waited another 5000 years to live like this....the world would stabilize....its the only solution i see
JavaSpitLava 4 months ago
@JavaSpitLava That is what I fear Dr. Bartlett's hypothesis is leading to. "Population Reduction". a task that is generally assigned to the military. Bartlett's equations can be inverted, we could 'shrink' our consumption and population painlessly. I guarantee the military solution would be very painful. Dr. Bartlett is sounding the alarm bells! no blame in that. Adapting industry to meet sustainable targets will save it from catastrophic decline. Going back to the stone age is a grim prospect!

@lowellkylewilliamson I am an atheist.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@EVLWNS
So atheist believe everything came from something?Whats the something?Whats its nature, character, traits? Are you accountable to it spiritually, mentally, physically? Christ says that something is God and we sinned against it so He collided with us on the cross where He offers to take our sin in exchange for Himself. An atheist's self (what they truly worship) hates this it so much that they try to convince the rest of themself that it doesn't exist till their self betrays them hellishly.
lowellkylewilliamson 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson I can't respond to everything you said in one go, so bear with me.
First, atheists do not hold to any one belief about anything. We're not like Christians - we're not an organised religion with a dogma that you have to hold to be considered an atheist. Atheists are just members of a category of belief, in that the only thing that unites us is a lack of belief in the existence of deities. There is no uniting opinion among us as to how the world came about.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson Now me, I do believe that everything came from something, which accords with the Laws of Conservsation. That something is best called 'emptiness', though I like to give it the more poetic name "void".
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson The nature of emptiness is what you'd think: the state of being empty. It is completely empty space-time, perfectly 'flat' with nothing in it. Just existence itself.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson I would argue that all three are the same - the body, which is composed of particles. You cannot be accountable to empty space-time because empty space-time doesn't hold you to account. It doesn't have a mind, a will, a purpose or what have you. Although, in a way you are, because the particles that compose you were born from it via quantum fluctuations at the Big Bang, as is the current theory.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson If the something I speak of is God, then that is very strange. I know that's not what you meant. We have nowehere to meet on this point because I do not believe in God, and you do. Incidentally, the word "God" means "that which is, or is to be, worshipped". For the record I do not worship empty space-time.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson You're opinions on what atheists think and believe are wrong. As I said, we are too diverse to say what we all think, as if we were a religion. Also, you write poorly - I'm having trouble following the rest of that sentence. But, if I do follow: Atheists don't necessarily hate the idea of God sacrificing himself for us. We are just generally unconvinced that God, as you would concieve of Him, exists in the first place.
EVLWNS 5 months ago
@lowellkylewilliamson Many atheists, including me, also think that God's sacrifice was, in a word, silly: God allowed sin to come into being. The accumulation of sin inspired His wrath. So, to save His creation from His wrath which resulted from His own mistake, He had to have Himself killed and resurrected. And that, somehow, takes our sin away and allows us into Heaven. It doesn't make sense to me.
OK, I answered all your points - go!
EVLWNS 5 months ago

SharinganMan 5 months ago
@7digitalSunday I'm sorry, but this is a great misunderstanding. Nothing is created from nothing. Many people from the first world especially the americans believe, that energy comes from nothing or from god himself.
But if you produce something, it comes from something and its always a change from one state of matter or energy to another. another example: if you earn money, you take it from somenone. Only the FED creates money from nothing.

@WEIRDPETER
Thank you for ENTIRELY missing the point of the video series.

@WEIRDPETER
Your stupidity makes me cringe. His point IS that exponential growth can not continue indefinitely. Perhaps you should watch the videos again.
gr0mithtimon 6 months ago
@WEIRDPETER For the time being at least. We live in a culture that is unsustainable on many levels. Some of which are rudimentary to say the least.

Search for "FREE ENERGY Home Generator -Zero Point Energy - Off the Grid" on YouTube to find another example of how we are NOT the problem, we are the SOLUTION!
My intention is NOT to troll this series! I want to give others an alternative viewpoint... only that!
TheHeurist 6 months ago
The DATA is false. Try searching YouTube for "Climategat 2-US Government Involved in Data Manipulation" and you'll get the 'run down' on it!
TheHeurist 6 months ago
@TheHeurist He's calculating populations. Not climate models.
bobbygnosis 6 months ago
@bobbygnosis - That is NOT the only thing he is positing in this series. I have every right to post an opposing opinion and that is what I am doing. I will get to the 'population models' soon enough.
TheHeurist 6 months ago
@TheHeurist You are correct. Just because one says a thing that is silly does not make all things said silly. I disagree with him regarding Global Warming, however, what he says about resource consumption and population is verifiable. I've done my own maths on this subject and what I've come to reflects what he says.
No matter how you cut it we're in for a bumpy ride. Petroleum will factor huge in that ride. I'm trying to reduce my own consumption. It'll get expensive soon.
bobbygnosis 6 months ago
@bobbygnosis - It is getting expensive because it is suppose to get that way. Our dependency upon oil is a sham. Also the belief that the world is overpopulated is a sham. Premature globalism NEEDS global problems in order to 'provide' us with global solutions! Don't you see this? Hegelian Dialectic through and through. Another example of the fraud: Global Warming... er.. I mean "Climate Change"... They want us to pay global taxes! Please look again.
TheHeurist 6 months ago

Right...
semasiologistics 6 months ago

TheHeurist 6 months ago
@TheHeurist
as if oil is the only resource...there are already projects about building electric cars you know?they do not reach the speed of the ones running with oil but they will soon enough...there are a lot of resources to be used like the solar energy water energy wind energy also look up on the projects of Nikolas Tesla and you may see that oil was never that important...
HitlerIsRantingAgain 6 months ago
@TheHeurist He's using math.
Math does not lie.
bobbygnosis 6 months ago
@bobbygnosis Math can prove the moon is made of green cheese, if you start with false assumptions! I am a mathematician and that is how I know. Look up 'Axioms' on Wikilies (Wikileaks) to see what I mean.
TheHeurist 6 months ago
@TheHeurist I understand what you're saying. I'm only saying that two and two added equal four regardless of the implications of adding the two.
bobbygnosis 6 months ago
@bobbygnosis - Addition is defined through the axioms. Mathematicians can develop mathematics where 2 + 2 does NOT equal four... or that 2 + 2 equals four in one direction and not in another...
This man is using FALSE premises as his basis for argumentation. The globalist elite want to create a problem big enough that only a global solution can fix it - hence Global Warming... or now it is called Climate Change (the pandering scientists were laid bare and had to change it).
TheHeurist 6 months ago
@TheHeurist He was using conventional [2+2=4] mathematics.
You can reverse engineer his conclusions using a calculator.
You don't have to be illuminati to use a calculator.
