It is a Catholic cathedral, and the word "Metropolitan Cathedral", means that it holds the seat of the "Metropolitan Bishop" of the diocese.

Beautiful music thank you for posting

  • So nice to see TIm Noon's son singing

  • The Piano arrangement is fab ! Timothy noon is without question a very talented Musician and since his arrival here at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, has raised the standard of singing of the Cathedral Choir. I am please that the Choir has a really good top line and the boys are very alert and on on good form. keep up the good work Tim.

  • The singing is outstanding and the piano utterly beautiful. How lucky Liverpool is to have such wonders.

  • But they are all singing against each other, most of the time.

  • The pianist is Richard Lea - He was playing a few weeks ago in the Anglican for the Bach that was before Karl Jenkins came to the podium to conduct his new Stabat Mater.

Richard Lea is brilliant- he directs Wigan Choral Society too!

  • Richard accompanied me for my exam - he was outstanding! And he's so lovely also.

  • Oooo, lucky you!

He's conducting Carmina Burana in the Cathedral Crypt next month - are you going? We are!

  • How have I not heard of this!? You'd think The University of Liverpool Music Department would have much better links to information on this sort of thing. When is it?

  • It's on Sat 7th. November in the Crypt.

    Tickets from the shop.

I'll be the good-looking one looking very pleased to be seeing Richard conducting again!
