I completely disagree with most of the comments. This version has aged quite better than the Liverpool Five's and has a memorable climatic feeling; one of my top ten songs ever.
Gotta say that this version pales in comparison to that by the Liverpool Five also available on You Tube.....vocals and guitar are much better on that version.
I gotta say that this would be the best version had I not followed the notes of others here and checked out the fabulous version by the Liverpool Five on YouTube.
@Roxsox221 This version is very good but I took your advice and went over to listen to the LP5 version and gotta join that bandwagon...as Oddsman noted below it has a touch of Bolero about it ....so sexy.
Just found this song recently on the "Best of the Liverpool Five" cd. It has a touch of Ravel's Bolero that is missing from this version. Most previous commenters seem to agree that the Remains version is not that exciting.
I have both records, and the remains version keep gaining momentum getting more and more wild as it goes on, while the liverpool five version goes up and down in intensity, its 2 very different versions really, but in my book the remains version is by far the best :)
The Remains are a good band but their version of Heart is not as good as the prior version recorded by the English band the Liverpool Five which featured a great haunting guitar riff and outstanding vocals, recently re-release by sundazed records.Check it out.
This band was pretty good on most stuff but this version of the song pales in comparison to that recorded by the Liverpool Five around the same time. Petula Clark has said many times that it is the LP5 version that really thrilled her. Unfortunately their version is not yet on You Tube's "Nuggets from the Liverpool Five" but I got it on the recently released "Best of the Liverpool Five "Cd. Many internet sites have 30 second excerpts so try their version and you will see what I mean.

@sggrimshaw Nah, I disagree with ya. I like Beverly Williams rendition. And she was just a kid in the 60s.
