Mining for money really doesnt seem worth it. If your in a good clan, you can make at least 8m an hour Item Hopping. The official ones website is at rs-merch.net.

1-15 Copper/Tin

15-50 Iron

50-77 Granite

77-80 Concentrated Coal Deposits

90-99 Gold Deposits =/

I'c rather continue with a Spirit Kyatt than always having to go to the desert where you can "dry out". You can also sell the Iron Ore.

what about lava titan and w84?

use a lava tita(lvl83 summon) +4 boost to mining

and w84 because theres alot of ppl there so you wont die by the rock guys
