I'd never heard of this song from Alexz or LIGHTS until recently. Honestly, though, I don't like either version. Too standard pop and nothing memorable. I love LIGHTS with all of my heart, but she has MUCH better songs, released or even ones like this "The Pity Scene" probably being the best example.

@LiliputLemonade Uhm Nope Lights wrote this with Luke Mcmaster who produced and wrote most of the songs for Instant star, Lights also wrote "Here We Go Again" for Instant Star. Alexz didnt cover it Lights gave it to Instant Star, and Lights recorded it for "Songs From Instant Star 4" because Alexz Johnson was only allowed to have four songs on the soundtrack because she was signed to Epic Records at the time.

She does have more emotion and understands the song more, and is more lively.

Lights downplays a lot of her songs, and don't get me wrong, shes got a good voice but it's too mousy.
