That was really beautiful! It makes me sad that forests are falling rapidly when they can bring us so much. The pictures was carefuly chosen and got well along with the music.
I totally agree..... nature and man made arise from the same root and they should live in harmony without conflict.... neither one should be an obstacle to others' growing... this movie is telling us to keep the balance of the mother nature.
Environmental movies are usually one-sided, but Mononoke was different. It showed us that the problem with radical industrialism and environmentalism is that they both have the wrong attitude. It is blind hatred that keeps us from seeing eye to eye. If we learn to know and love our enemies, we can find a way that we can all live with. When Ashitaka said that the forest spirit was "telling us both to live," he wasn't just talking about himself and San, but about humanity and nature.
I first watched this movie when I was 10 years old. At the time, I didn't understand the message of the movie. Now that I'm older and view the world differently, I want to watch it again. Maybe I'll learn something that I didn't know before.

The all photograph that I used for this video is from a free photograph site in Japan. All these shooting location is at Japan.
There is one of the photo of a wonderful waterfall (1:32) among them.
It name is "waterfall of SHIRAITO (白糸の滝)" in Karuizawa-cho of Nagano Prefecture in Japan.
Japanese "SHIRAITO" means "White thread" in English.

Yeah, this movie is more than just a comprehensible entertaining movie.
I think the aim of this movie is a thing to make the spectator think about the symbiosis with nature.

There is a scene where the San supplies food to Ashitaka by the mouth to mouth feeding.
It cannot be said to be kiss.
But that scene is important...and I love that scene...
