Thanks for sharing your technique. I stopped wearing lace fronts because i thought some of them looked too wiggy.... Yours looks very natural!!!!!

Wow! Great idea! I did something similar to an old wig of mine,except I cut just a small part, smaller than yours, and pulled my hair over it. It looked good and a couple people thought it was my real hair and a couple friends thought it was a good sew-in. I could put the part in the front or the side. I'm thinking about doing the same thing to a newer, more expensive piece that I have. Hopefully I won't mess up.

Can you cut the wig in different places or just the middle?

@mszredd09 u can cut it in different places as long as you are cutting thru the lace and NOT the wefts, cuz then it will get ugly/ragged

I have a question so when you cut the front part of the lace to take your hair out...how do you get the part to stay flat so that its not coming up when you comb your hair over it?

@chupamebonita66 i just used bobby pins to keep it down, but u can also sew clips on it too

@tamikabites87 u mean the stocking cap u wear under it? no u dont have to cut the stocking cap. just make sure u place it behind where u made ur square in the wig, so it doesnt show

Oh wow! So I'm sittin over here in Germany (we're U.S. Army & live here, my hubby is in Afghanistan 4 a year) and I'm so frustrated cuz I ordered the lace front Amerie by Freetress & couldn't wait 2 put it on, but I was so upset cuz the lace in the front middle won't stay down & I don't have glue or tape, as it's not needed. I love your technique & will be trying it 2day! Do u cut a square in the wig cap, 2? Just subscribed, thank u, & I'll let u know if it works w/ my wig!

Hmmm.. I may just have to try cutting my lace front a bit too....with different brands you get a different hairline...and sometimes it just looks crazy...thanks for the idea!!

looksa like a good idea with cutting the small square in middle! Add me, im transitioning also, i havent done big chop, ive been w/o relaxer for 8months today!!!! its exciting i didnt think id be able to last this long so im very proud of myself :) i did trim my relaxed edges to barely existing in the bac of my hair but thats it, im thinking bout getting a weave this week and then cutting my relaxed hair in...? May?
