i own the zeppelin DVD, the notes included in the DVD clearly states that the audio in Immigrant song is from Long Beach in 1972, so yes, they are the same peformance.
@Phenomenon58 I am 100% positive. in the album packaging, it has the date and location of the songs' performances. They do sound the exact same, though. Even the solo sounds the same
@NextGreatGuitarist But it sound exactly like the there live concert in australia video, from the beginning humming noise to the end. Every single word is uttered the same, even "Right!" And how come you cant hear the crowd, in all the ther HTWWW audios you can hear the crowd.
@Phenomenon58 It is the exact same audio as the Australia one. I think that the Australia one might have just been video and not audio from that concert, because watching them during the video, the video doesn't match up with what they play.
In any case, Jimmy Page and the producers of the album are positive that it is from the L.A. concert, and they have the master tape from that recording, with place and date
@Phenomenon58 I forgot to mention that when Led Zeppelin did live recordings, they recorded from the sound board, so any crowd noise in the audio is whatever noise the mic's could manage to pick up, which would not be much
@NextGreatGuitarist Yea but in the other HTWWW live audio you can hear the crowd a tiny bit. Like Heartbreaker solo, or Rock n Roll drum solo at the end.
me thinks la drone is the name of the trippy humming before the song not the venue

@NextGreatGuitarist The album is editied from 2 nights, the base of it is the Long Beach show (6/27) but vocal overdubs are from the LA show (6/25).
