I think this is a good cover of this song. It doesn't have the same emotion as the original but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's slower and has a more melancholic vibe to it. I liked it very much.
It's a deep song and you do it justice with a fair release of emotion. The only thing I would do to enhance it even more is add a little edge. It's missing the element of torture and inner turmoil.
@Onsuddenearth it sounded too repetitive without the drums, so i decided to add them in to build up to the final chorus, make the breakdown more powerful, and to make the outro guitar trail off more desolately. but i understand what dietrichbeonhoeffer is saying, chevelle adds a bit of edge and almost anger in the way the lyrics are enunciated and to the tone of their music, whereas i tried to mellow it all down to make it much more lonely. thanks for the input!!
sorry but I really don't like this. Pete is my favorite singer of all time and a women shouldn't be signing a Chevelle song. You ruined it. I'm just glad that you sang my least favorite Chevelle song.
