  • This is my favorite album now :D

  • Yeah baby...yeah!

  • büyüksün baba.

  • BASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D

  • Man, that 667th like really screwed the pooch.

  • 0:15 to 0:43, it's Enola Gay keyboard part (band: Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark)

  • 9 people have an opinion different from me so rather than be mature and accept that it's a big world out there I'm going to bitch about it like that changes anything.

  • @roflatopus I concur.

  • amazing song!!!!

  • Bless the lord there were such great people, but it is a shame they are all gone so soon.

  • Sooo epic...really cool...wow...

  • from 4:39 the music is just heavenly!!!!

  • As a Vet I like this song...I'm also a metal head..

  • My name is Irene. i am an strings fetishist. I must hear every day string sounds. A cure is hopeless ;-)

  • I really can't enjoy this album. It just sounds wrong. For some reason Virtual XI was way better - I don't hate Blaze Bayley. But I really can't dig this one except for a few songs.

  • "Do you care if you live or die

When you laugh are you really crying

You're not sure what's real anymore" my god...i can imagine how that feels

  • this will always be blaze's song, AND, it is fucking AWESOME!!

  • FUCKIN EPIC!!!!! iv never heard the songs from this album befor but... OMFG!!

    AWESOME!!!!!!!

    UP THE IRONS!!

  • Motherfuck what a song! And why do people call this a bad album again? They should perform sodomy on themselves.

  • I love my t shirt of this album, and the song too xD

  • I fucking love this song !!! UP THE IRONS ! \m/

  • This is one of my favorite albums of Iron Maiden. Up the Irons from Finland! \,,/

  • Killers Album - Paul Di'anno

Number of the Beast Album - Bruce Dickinson

    X-Factor Album - Blaze Bayley

    They all started epic albums.

  • @Mercenary78 first one with paul was iron maiden

  • @MrDJHandex i know but these albums make me think of one singer.

  • Thumbs Up If You Cant See The Dislike Bar

  • @Segura2015 To be honest, this is too grimdark for my liking. Never liked Blaze's style, and I don't like the direction the 2 albums took to suit his style. Simply too slow, his voice doesn't have anything unique to it, and it all just feels bland.

I understand it's all part of opinion, but I perfectly understand people disliking this (I'm even surprised there are ONLY 7 dislikes).

Anyway, as long as you enjoy it and don't judge, 't's all good. It's all subjective.

  • @ignas1130

Sooooooooooooooo, you don't like METAL thats Grim and Dark?

  • @VideoGameMetal01 You misunderstood grimdark. Most metal songs have dark themes. Bruces stuff is just much more lively, faster, and powerful. This just feels slow, depressignly dull, no kick to it. Even the songs that were supposed to be fast paced and lively felt dead to me.

  • that is what i call talent not like those singer of these days who use electronic machines to have a great voice, when i listen to this song, its like if i was in a trans!!!omg i love and i completly love iron maiden, and ever shall i be wearing their t-shirt and being proud !!!that is the greatest group of the world who has never existed!!!!

  • Esta canción le va barbaro a Blaze por la voz que tiene :)

    4:38 hasta el final! :D

  • I don't think Bruce or Paul could sing this song as well as Blaze. This song was made just for his voice

  • I'm late to seeing my girlfriend for listening to this song. UP THE IRONS FROM MEXICO!!

  • @KeNi666 I wish everyone would have their priorities correct like you. Very well done. Up the Irons!

  • I love Blaze Bayley!

  • I go to Iron Maiden (album) and Killers for that old rock/metal sound of Maiden, Number Of The Beast til No Prayer For The Dying for the classic Maiden sound, X Factor and Virtual XI for darker songs and Brave New World onwards for "modern" Maiden. Every album has a different sound :)

  • F$%@ YEAH! GALLOP THE SH!T OUT OF THAT BASS! I actually though there was a stampede outside

  • it's Iron Maiden, my tears for traditional heavy metal, glorify it

  • Best Iron Maiden Song!

  • Honestly,I think I like Blaze more than anyone else.idk why but his 2 albums with Maiden just sound so bad ass as fuck.the melodies and tempos of the songs show the true talent of Maiden with these 2 albums,Idk why other people can't see that (or hear it I guess :p)

  • 6 people disliked well i disliked you

  • this album it's darker because, Steve had just got divorced so he was kind of sad

  • Blaze rocks !

  • Awesome song, especially the chorus!

  • blaze is an amazing vocalist and teh live classics, i.e. the trooper sound so bad because they are tuned to match bruce, whereas blaze is a whole octave lower.. this is evidence that he is a good singer

  • @DarkGnasher wait.....the fact that he can sing an octave lower then bruce means hes a good singer? Your logic sucks. But that logic, Barry Manilow would be the greatest singer who ever lived

  • @12321Walrus dude my point was that to judge blaze you shouldnt use a song that was not written with his voice in mind... i must admit i worded that wrong though.. no need to bite im just saying, to judge blaze you should look at the x factor or virtual xi abums actually written with him..

  • @DarkGnasher I wont lie, that was confusing to read. My name is Blaze and reading it quiick confused me. BUT yes that makes much more sense. Sorry if i came off as an ass, i just thought that your logic was awful haha

  • @12321Walrus no problem man :)

  • @12321Walrus no problems man:P

  • Some guy ripped on me for talkin shit about EMINEM. He said that The I need a doctor song had feeling...Yeah its just random fast words

  • @XxTopHeistxX I will forever hate any modern pop/rap unless I get a few hundred subdural hematomas.

  • @udot111 did you say that cause subdural hematomas is British lol??

  • @timberland1108 no, im just saying that you'll have to turn my brain into a useless lump of flesh for me to even think too listen to pop or rap. it has nothing to do with british, where did you get that idea?!?

  • @udot111 lol because im in a class to become a paramedic and subdural hematoma is a British name lol. but i agree with you irons maiden is the best.

  • @timberland1108 oh, I didnt know it was british in origin. I just thought of it because I did a backflip into the pool and whacked my head on the edge once. my teacher was an EMT once.

  • @udot111 be my pokerface

  • @udot111 even then id still atleast dislike it

  • I worked with Blaze this week, not musically but in the factory i work at.. What a star he gave away signed CDs and had time for everyone, all the best to him....

  • Pure epicness...

  • Comment removed

  • Did Paul sing 2Am?

  • @UndeadBeaner That sounds like Blaze man

    to me at least

  • 1:40 to 3:30 is the cusp of this grreeeeat song, to me

  • actual Iron Maiden please re-record this one and the whole X-Factor album!!!!

  • @ShredMaster79 And whys that? It's already perfect album.

  • @DeterminationForever

it's just because this great album would be 200% greater with Bruce Dickinson on vocals. Bruce said more than once that he loves "The X-Factor"'s songs, so I'm sure he would do a perfect job (as always!) with them.

  • @ShredMaster79 This is just my opinion, BUT, Bruce would rape these songs. Just like he did on Death on the Road when they played Lord of the flies. These songs are ment for Blaze, just like Bruce songs are ment for Bruce.

  • @DeterminationForever i absolutely agree! It's just i can't imagine bruce singing this song, because, i love them from the beginning with Bailey's voice...Bailey has a dark voice and x factor and virtual are dark so bailey voice fits perfect!

  • @nefredil What a truly epic song!

  • @kuvokki epic in all meaning of epicness!

  • o iron não é uma banda é uma religião!!!

Iron maiden até a final fronteira da minha vida

  • Who's the singer in that song? (srry for my ignorance)

  • @DodoHRuleZ a guy called Blaze Bayley, he only recorded on "X Factor" and "Virtual XI"

  • I don't like this singers voice... It's not Iron Maiden's style...

  • When Blaze sings quietly he sounds exactly like Bruce.

  • Its too bad that probably we never hear this song again live. I am absolutely great fan of Bruce's voice but this song is one of the best Iron Maiden ever did despite the very weak production. I always thought that the real magnificence of Iron Maiden is more evident if we see what songs they have in their storage of unplayed or rarely presented songs. Fortunes of war is just one but i would continue with Flash of the blade, Duellists(what a middle section!), and of course Alexander etc

  • Truly unappreciated Maiden song.

  • 2:24 Janick's moment. holy crap I thought.

  • Paul D. = epic

    Blaze B. = epic

    Bruce B. = SUPERFLUOUSLY EPIC

  • The first two verses are extremely haunting. Im a son of a Vietnam Veteran and have seen the pain first hand living with a veteran growing up. This songs lyrics really stir the emotions.

  • Fucking brilliant!

  • FORTUNES OF WAR!!!

  • UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Blaze Fucking Bayley.

Some awesome work he did here...

  • Gotta get that album for sure!

  • Kurwaa I love it T_T

  • Good song... great actually. Thanks for Iron Maiden existing

  • Every time i think that i discovered maiden's best songs, then by time i knew i was wrong.

  • All you "die hard" fans really don't have a clue what's this song is all about do ya...

  • Im am 100% sure this album would of been Incredible with bruce just for the fact that he would of hit some insane sirens on the chorus "Fortunes of Waaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr!"

  • Fortunes And Whores

    Fortunes And Whores

    Fortunes And Whores

    No Blue-Balls Anymore!

  • Paul Di"anno= aggressiv and cool Iron maiden

Bruce Dickinson=epic and huge Iron maiden

Blaze Bayley=Dark and creepy Iron maiden

Why argue? in the end its all Iron maiden!!!!

  • @87themoonwalker I couldn't have worded it better UP THE IRONS

  • @87themoonwalker funny enough, I'm hearing alot of majors and upbeat composer underneath Blaze's voice...idk if that's just me...

  • @87themoonwalker so very very well said,I totally agree with you, when this album came out I did not like it much, but as the years has gone by,I now see that this is a very fine album with some haunting songs and a great theme about war,I guess songs about the vietnam war never grows old.

When Bruce said he would leave maiden,I hoped and prayed that Paul would have returned instead we got blaze, and he did ok I think, but nothing and no-one beats Bruce. not even D'ianno.

  • @87themoonwalker MUSIC IS ART NOT COMPETITION

  • @87themoonwalker You are now God. Congratulations

  • @87themoonwalker True wisdom at it's best. Cheers!

  • @87themoonwalker Although I agree, personaly I grew up with Bruce Dickinson, but Blaze Bayley is it for me.

  • @87themoonwalker

You're right, they each bring their own thing to Maiden. I'm glad Bruce is their main and current singer, that's the way it should be, but I also appreciate Paul's and Blaze's contributions. Maiden's discography is richer for it, even if not all their songs are classics.

  • @87themoonwalker amen

  • @87themoonwalker Exactly!!!!!! thats why maiden is may fav. band ever!!!!! its like having 3 bands in one i mean every era has its own unique feel and i love em all! UP THE IRONS!!!

  • @87themoonwalker best description ever

  • i love blaze in iron maiden the two albums he put out with iron maiden is one of my favorites

  • everyone immediately discredits and disowns the two Blaze albums just because of no Bruce....im not a Blaze fanboy, i thought he was absolutely terrible singing Bruces songs and Bruce is far superior vocally and is way better but this is a REALLY good album..and fits Blazes voice perfect...imo theres only 2 Maiden albums that didnt do it for me and that was No Prayer and Virtual XI...out of 15 thats pretty damn good ...and those 2 are alot better than most bullshit groups release today

  • OMG the ending its... so... so sad =(

  • Dude When Blaze Sings Fortunes Of War For The First Time It Sound Like : Fuck You Whore xD

  • Is me or the songs with blaze are more longer, not in time but in the way that it pass the time i dont know if it is clear but xD

  • Always liked this album ... Baily suited the overall tone of the lyrics ( Steve's divorce etc) ... i' ve been a Maiden fan since i was a nipper and although i am a die-hard Dickinson fan i can appreciate the Blaze era .... COME ON YOU IRONS

  • I don't see what is wrong with this album. The sound matched well with Blaze's dark tone. I didn't mind Blaze vocally and I thought the album overall was above average

  • great !!!!!! o mais great !!!

  • Up your mother fucking thumbs if you fucked with Maiden, with a girl

  • ROCK ON MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!!

  • True fans appreciate all of Iron Maiden's music...so instead of bashing Blaze shouldn't we be nerdraging about Leave It To Bieber instead?...Then again true fans don't give a fuck about Bieber to even mention the name...

I am now having an identity crisis...o.O

  • @KVedd Maiden say don't worry....

  • UP the IRONS!!!

  • Dios...me pone los pelillos como escarpias.

Q gran banda y cuantos buenos ratos he pasado con este grupo.

    Up the Irons!!!

  • @Pekesaurio69 estos y acdc las mejores bandas de la historia, geniales en todas sus épocas, y aunque cambien de vocalistas no bajan el listón nunca

  • Essa me lembra do meu período militar, tinha 20 anos ouvi muito a noite.

  • without bands such as Iron Maiden our lives will be miserable and empty

    UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Great song!!! ;) Iron Maiden is my love from childhood to present and it will be my love forever!!! keep rock'in guys!!! ;)

  • BLAZE is a great singer!!!!! UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Few people judge Blaze's work for what he brang to the band: his studio work was awesome, and his live performances were poor. Because how come a singer with such a vocal range can sing 'The Trooper' or 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' every night? Tours were terrible with Blaze - he lost his voice during both. But the band should have tuned the songs down so that they fitted more Blaze's voice. Anyway, I love the X-Factor and I love Virtual XI. Underrated music. UP THE IRONS FROM FRANCE!

  • both bruce and blaze's era were outstanding, although bruce's songs are ungetable for they're the spirit of maiden, blaze gave us a new maiden not worse than bruce's

  • i think blaze was able to give Maiden a new direction in times when Bruce Bruce was more into his solo-projects than maiden. You can line Blaze in a row with Paul d´Anno and Bruce Dickinson. By the way - their new album is one of their best (after a few turns)

  • Stop arguing whos better Bruce Or Blaze!! There both great but each in a different Era ALL ALBUMS FUCKING ROCK!!! soo stop complaining! (:

  • I've always really liked this song for its fantastic instrumentation and some of Blaze's songs kinda work in my mind. This is one of them.

  • blaze is a bad singer imo

  • This is a song you have to listen to alot for it sink in. I used to think it was really boring, but now I like it even more then Sign Of The Cross. It's far less repetitive than most of Arry's epics, and that intro is better than you would hear in most film scores.

  • fuckin cool song, listen to it heaps latly. good strong music!

  • I am going to see them next 21 August in Valencia muahahahahaha!

  • POWERFUL lyrics. Anyone who has served time in a warzone can easily relate to what Blaze is saying and really anyone who feels disconnected and having inner troubles

  • i am a metallica fan from kid but iron maiden will always will be in my heart great band

  • what all these songs say, all lyrics from this album, they wouldnt sound the same with dickinson as the singer, they need blaze´s voice to be what they are, epics!

  • @angeluslave Yeah... I think the same... Strong, dark and deep lyrics... Strong, dark and deep voice...

  • A person which should not be named( J......B.....) made 6 accounts and disliked this song

  • 6 motherfuckers -.-

  • you can't compare Blaze to Bruce lol. it's like comparing a car to a ship...you just can't do it :D they are both great btw

  • I DON"T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS BLAZE WILL ALWAYS BE A HUGE PART OF MAIDEN FOR ME IRONS UP TO BLAZE!

  • Love it

  • LOVE THIS SONG..........

  • this is a kick ass song, but very underrated... this solo is awesome, lyrics are amazing, and Steve's bass is killer... \m/

  • you forget clive burr he is amazing and eddie too

  • Heil Maiden!

  • on my original x factor cd, i can hear somebody sream "Woo" and then clapping of hands in the last second and half... i love them!

  • I can't speak english, so forgive me if i make a mistake. When i first hear that album i think that this is real piece of shi*. But when i grow up i understand that this album is like wine. You must grow up to understand the darkness and beauty that they put in every song. So, now i can say only one thing - when Blaze come to Poland with next shows i love to buy him a fu*** big mug of beer. He deserved.

  • 1:45 o kurwa..

  • can someone help me please, i remember watching an animated official video of one iron maidens song, it shows a guy running through a factory, being chased by robots or summat and then he picks something up and then has some kinda haluccination where hes running through fields of grass. anyone know it?

  • @howlinstein

    that is different world.

  • this is greaattt!!!!!!!

  • i NEVER HATED THIS ALBUM...I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM WHEN I SAW IT IN A CORNER...THEN I REALIZED WOW. WHAT DID I BRING...I LOVE THIS ALBUM MORE THAN SOME OF THEIR EARLY ALBUMS...VERY WISE PIECE OF WORK.

  • That Ending.... Legendary.

  • It's funny that, 10 years ago, this album was called all kinds of bad names from people; and now eveyone praises it.

I love how people hate new concepts, ideas and styles in music; but once they get a little old everyone starts thinking that it was good, compared to the "shit" they have at present time.

  • @Owneador1337 That is the beauty of Iron Maiden's songs. Those "Shit" Iron Maiden songs will grow on your no matter what, next thing you know they're one of your favourite songs and you can't stop listening to them.

  • @squirrelking207 you*

  • Well I was making a CD of classic rock/metal but I think it's about to turn into an Iron Maiden CD. All of their songs are just too good. UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Up The Irons from Edmonton, Canada

  • @GTait93 :D I live there!

  • I'll listen to any iron maiden song without doubt, be it Di'anno, Bruce or Blaze cos it's about the emotion and style that make maiden who they are :)

  • really good staff!!!! perfect song.

  • This album has one of the best MAIDEN'S guitars melodies

  • And the best vocal melodies too.

  • This song is going to go down as an Iron Maiden Classic!

  • UP THE IRONS FROM VARENNES, CANADA!!

  • holy crap this is awesome. i've never heard thisï
