I have been told what Ford done.I was told of a guy with a Ford with a Superduty and had rust problems.All four doors and tailgate were rusted out,Ford would not cover it under warranty since there were no rust holes.My Matco tool dealer has a Chevy HD, had paint peeling off on the driver's side and GM covered it under warranty.
I would not trust anything built by the "NEW" GM. Being bankrupt and billions in debt means that GM will look for the absolute cheapest suppliers inorder to save as much money as they can so they can pay off the massive debt they owe. What does this mean to the customer? a car with cheaper grade plastics, poorer quality paint and steel and short cuts in the manufacturing process. May look nice in the show room, but just wait after 5 years and you will see how your GM car starts falling apart.

While Hyundai has come a long way from the old Excels, they are still just throw-away cars. I mean yes, most cars have mixed parts in them but the majority of parts in GM's are American and the majority of parts in Toyota's are Japanese.
