  • Zeppelin is better 9 out of 10 they are covered. As a hardcore Zep fan, this isn't one of those times.

  • 42 people's dancing days are over!!!!!

  • STP put on the best concert I've ever been to. It was electric and they performed flawlessly.

    (Soaring Eagle Michigan)

    Great tribute.

  • "I saw a lion, he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar" WTF? Zeppelin always had the best drugs. Don't get me wrong, it's genius...."tadpole in a jar".

    Great version BTW.

  • If you have difficulty accepting this dissonance you feel-I could slap the shit out of you.HAHAHA.Just kidding it's they're both good

  • It's almost like hearing a good Zepplin out take, a little more acoustic, with a few things remaining that didn't get drowned out by Bonzo and keyboards.

Great cover. And I'm amazed that I can allow myslef to love it. And STP obviously does too.

    WIN-WIN-WIN

  • love this version way better makes me get this feel..warm summer nights drunk and high:)

  • One of the very best covers of a Zeppelin song, along with Tool's version of No Quarter.

  • better than the original

  • I <3 this so much :)

  • good tribute to a legend

  • @diabloog2012 STP is together again. Came out with a new album in 2010 and are planning for another one in 2012.

  • Not any band can remake a song especially a Led Zeppelin song and make it sound very similar and awsome. Big ups to STP. Too bad they are not playing anymore. Today's music sucks.

  • @lithium...would love to know how to do that. is it complicated? I'm not super computer savvy...any help you could give would be great. Thank you!

  • This version is way better than the original. People should be covering this version.

  • I love it when new cool ass bands do covers of classic songs. Awesome.

  • @RealPhysical82 STP really isn't a new band.

  • No one should ever attempt a Zeppelin tune, a sin against mausical nature. That said I do LOVE this They did one hell of a great job When I heard this back when it first came out, I had to buy it really an amazing version of the song!!!!

  • this blew my mind , best cover .

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND THIS VERSION. STP does a fantastic job on this. Anyone know where I can buy it???? iTunes doesn't seem to have it...HELP!!!

  • @sheabirdable lol just convert the youtube vid to an mp3

  • That's the original song! not the stp version!

  • @WeAreShlammm sorry, you don't know you're zeppelin if you think this is the zeppelin version

  • sick song by a sick band covering a sick band's sick song.

  • The current best band covering the best band ever.

  • STP is the Led Zeppelin of the past 20 years.

  • Very faithful but not constrained. I like it.

  • Great cover of a great song!

  • Common Scott get your shit togehter and make a record! STP= Awesome

  • screw the critics of stp i still love stp :p

  • Coming from a die hard led zeppelin fan this is a damn good cover of dancing days!

  • AMAZING COVER!

  • u must be kiddin....

  • Comment removed

  • O3o whoa

  • I thought this was originally STP's song... after I checked this vid out I went and listened to the original, and damn. They both sound fucking AMAZING.

  • Great cover. Great band honoring another great band. Legends.

  • Awesome tribute. They both kick ass :D

  • i agree....i love led zeppelin..but this jus sounds like it could be one of stp's own..ya kno....

  • Mr or Ms bdsw30 you must be joking

  • @sheikyerbout I agree with you...STPs cover is VERY good,but Zeppelin rules..

  • 35 people can't dance!

  • this is better than the Zeppelin version.

  • sounds toned down, something page and plant would've done in unleaded. AWSOME SOUND!

  • Well done!

  • Way too lame

  • Scott's voice is so sexy !!!

  • I actually prefer this version better

  • @VoodooKush I actually prefer the original version by led zeppelin it pawns this version anyday of the week month and year I am not a fan of stone temple pilots at all I am more of a fan of Alice in chains and SoundGarden than I am of stone temple pilots if you like this version is better than the original than you are a fucking retard and a dumbass.

  • I'm not into modern rock bands but they did a decent job with this song.

  • @mysterymac38 lol.. - "modern rock"

  • This iz 4 my lil "G"

  • Great cover! Two legendary bands, Led and STP.

  • I'm surprised they got permission to do this song! Of course Led Zeppelin's version beats this one, but they have two different styles of the song.

  • This cover is so good, I always expect some STP version of "D'Yer Mak'er" to play after this is over.

  • This is my favorite version of this song!

  • i wish they'd put this on itunes

  • If you like Led Zep you will like grunge music.

  • As a Led Zeppelin fan before an STP fan, I must say this is one of few LZ covers that are even passable, mostly because they don't try to sound like LZ, they just have their own take on the song.

That said Zeps will always be the best version.

  • @nirvanadude007 Tesla's remake of The Ocean is pretty sweet too man.

  • @nirvanadude007 You can't forget Tool's No Quarter Cover. That was a good cover too.

  • @fbombv1

    Well of course, that's Tool.

  • @fbombv1 I lost my tool cover when I was a baby.

  • @nirvanadude007 No way, I prefer the STP version.

  • This version is...dirtier somehow but it works. It works well.

  • i expected it to be a typical stp hard song, but still awesome....LZ owns this song though

  • no, nada, neict, nine, nay, no way, never! ;) LED ZEPPLIN owns this song..sorry STP fans, they make mincemeat out of this song. I really don't think anyone but Zepplin can do this particular song..some songs are just like that!

  • damn, never would have guesed this was a led zeplin cover but then again "I don't really listen to them but still, it sounds like its completly their own and that one part kinda reminds me of tripin on a hole in a paper heart

  • Interesting how a band will make a bold move by selecting a song to perform a cover of, and having it work well for them....very well, actually.

  • Almost every other Zep cover Ive heard sucks. This is one of the rare exceptions.

  • @megajohnnywadd have you no understanding of what a rock vocalist sounds like? He's got some good soul in his singing as well. Id recommend giving the classics a try and really listen.

  • Great band...but it still doesn't even come CLOSE to being as good as Zeppelin's version.

  • I think they did a good job because they basically did it acoustic which is sometimes the style of STP, instead of trying to sound exactly like Led Zeppelin.

  • Clarity <3

  • @the5overshadowed you should get smacked for comparing yourself to Alice in chains just sayin

  • BEST COVER EVER

  • one of the best zepplin covers ever

  • Comment removed

  • @marce353535

Have you even heard the original version? How are you not capable of distinguishing Plant from Weiland?

  • @marce353535 hahahahahahahahaha... tell me, do you relly belive in that?

  • the drums are awful.

  • @Luxmaxnike play them better buddy::)

  • @jdub86yc well, at least i don't try. i'm sorry, but it is relly bad. in the middle of it i had to pause, because i thought that there were another song playing in another page.

  • @jdub86yc the guitar isin't even that good. the solo didn't sound good. weiland is singing good though

  • @Luxmaxnike idk i saw them live n they were amazing but none the least a pretty good cover tho?atleast i think so..?

  • Better than Zepplin?........GET OUT!! D:

  • This is by far the best cover I ever heard. Weiland has a great voice better than annoying screaching Robert Plants voice. Zeppelin was great because they had a great guitarist and the greatest drummer.

  • @MegaJohnnywadd BLASPHEMY!

  • are you fucking kidding me. This cover has more views than the original!!! great cover but come on guys!!!!

  • Don't get me wrong when I say this, because I love the Zeppelin version a ton, but this version is better. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band btw, so don't think me a jackass.

  • where can I buy this?

  • no ones does the songs of zeppelin better than zeppelin, WTF? dont get wrong!

  • STP does this song even better than Zep.

  • @WelfareSymphony Hey its good but NO ONE can be better than Zep buddy,

  • @El3ctricGuitarDemos I respect your opinion, but I disagree.

  • @WelfareSymphony as i respect yours, and also disagree. My main point is regardless if STP did better Zep had to write and compose the song, therefore i think Zep is better

  • Most Excellent!

  • im going to see them may 7th i cant wait!!!BEST BAND EVER

  • To be honest it sounds as if they made this song. Cause it's deff there style!

  • STP did not steal this song. They covered this on a Led Zep TRIBUTE album. I like it as much as the original.

  • I'm a huge zep fan, as you can tell by my name probably, and normally I would criticize any cover of any zeppelin song and probably say it sucked, but this one is actually good, ;D

  • @68MrZeppelin Weiland and Cornell both can sing Zeppelin perfect!

  • Saw them two nights ago here in BMore, they were fucking awesome!!!

  • where can i download this?

  • STP, Foo Fighters, Duran, Zep, Floyd, The Hip - all awesome bands

  • @Bawbster1 "sounding similar" is far different than taking all the same lyrics, using the exact same melody, as the courts agreed. or, as Page agreed, when he settled out of courts for large sums of money.

  • Give “Sail Away” by Deep Purple (1974 Burn album with David Coverdale on lead vocals) a listen and tell me Zep’s Trampled Underfoot from Physical Graffiti (1975) isn’t the same borrowed-from-Ritchie Blackmore riff, just speeded up.

  • "White Summer" - uncredited cover of Davey Graham's "She Moved Through The Fair."• " Whole Lotta Love" - lyrics are from the Willie Dixon blues "You Need Love."

  • "The Lemon Song" - uncredited cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" - Wolf's publisher sued Zeppelin in the early 70's and settled out of court."Moby Dick" - written and first recorded by Sleepy John Estes under the title "The Girl I Love," and later covered by Bobby Parker.Nobody's Fault But Mine" - uncredited cover of the Blind Willie Johnson blues.• "Since I've Been Lovin' You" - lyrics are the same as Moby Grape's "Never," though the music isn't similar.

  • • "Dazed And Confused" - uncredited cover of the Jake Holmes song (see The Above Ground Sound Of Jake Holmes).• "Hats Off To (Roy) Harper" - uncredited version of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down.""How Many More Times" - Part one is an uncredited cover of the Howlin' Wolf song (available on numerous compilations). Part two is an uncredited cover of Albert King's "The Hunter."• "In My Time Of Dying" - uncredited cover of the traditional song (as heard on Bob Dylan's debut).

  • • "Bring It On Home" - the first section is an uncredited cover of the Willie Dixon tune (as performed by the imposter Sonny Boy Williamson). Blogovich sez: This gets complicated in the “imposter” Sonny Boy part. There were indeed two of the dude, Rice Miller (the second Sonny Boy) and John Lee Williamson (Sonny Boy I)"Custard Pie" - uncredited cover of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down," with lyrics from Sleepy John Estes's "Drop Down Daddy."

  • "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" - A folk song by Anne Bredon, this was originally credited as "traditional, arranged by Jimmy Page," then "words and music by Jimmy Page," and then, following legal action, "Bredon/Page/Plant."• "Black Mountain Side" - uncredited version of a traditional folk tune previously recorded by Bert Jansch.• "Communication Breakdown" - apparently derived from Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown."

  • @caramelhiggens You said that non of their top 15 songs were ripped off from anyone else. well off your list of 15, right off the top of my head i can tell you that "Whole Lotta Love" is a rip off of "you need love" by Willie Dixon and Stairway to Heaven is a rip off of "Taurus" by Spirit. so I just proved you wrong off the top of my head...and thats using YOUR OWN LIST of their top 15 . Imagine if i did some research. Zep was a great band.. but realize they ripped ALOT of material off others

  • @pmdnyc I just posted a TON of stuff that Zep ripped off from others...youtube the originals and see what I mean. I love Zep, but please dont criticize others for doing covers of their songs. at least the Pilots gave Zep credit. Zep did not until they were sued

  • @pmdnyc A lot of songs may sound similar, because notes may be arranged close to the same. Being close isn't ripping off. However, "sampling" in this modern-day crap they pass off as music, IS ripping off. Anyone can get a computer a do some sampling, no one can pick up an instrument for the first time and play a song.

  • @Bawbster1 I agree totally about todays stuff..and as I said before I loved the way Zep took old blues tunes and made them great rock songs...but that does not change the fact that they indeed use others material without crediting them or getting permission. and that, my friend, IS ripping off someone elses music.

  • @caramelhiggens Please...so I can make even more of a fool of you....list for me your opinion of Led Zeppelins 15 top songs.

  • @caramelhiggens And by the way, Whole Lotta Love was released as a single...in fact it was that song that knocked " HEY JUDE by The Beatles off the top spot in 1969. and WHOLE LOTTA LOVE was a rip off of a Willie Dixon song...again i say to you look it up...just dont spout thoughts . Just because you wish it to be so does not mean you can say it is so if its not true.

  • @caramelhiggens Wow. You are dumb. I guess you dont consider "Whole lotta love" as one of their top 15. or Dazed and Confused. Or Stairway to Heaven. or many others. It is clear you are probably a 15 yr old kid who is just discovering Rok for the first time so I will excuse your ignorance. You will learn. In the meantime I will not bother bantering back and forth with an obviously misinformed moron. Go do your homework . You dont wanna end up in summer school

  • @caramelhiggens If they didnt have to do it, why did they make a CAREER of doing it?

  • @caramelhiggens No actually, They were not legal covers. look it up. Led Zeppelin was sued 17 times for covering songs without permission. Most lawsuits were settled out of court... with Zeppelin forking over a few years royalties and posting credits on new pressing of albums/cds. This is why if you get an original release of Zep I, Zep II Zep III or the Zoso album you see a different set of credits than you do if you buy it today. Before you call someone 'Idiot" know what you are talking about

  • This might be the only goo Led Zeppelin cover I've ever heard.

  • @caramelhiggens Try looking this up on youtube.....LED ZEPPELIN EXAMPLES OF PLAGIARISM

  • @caramelhiggens I am big Zeppelin fan..saw them in 1973 and 1977...and also saw Page and Plant twice. But to say they didnt copy other peoples music, well you dont know what you are talking about. Whole lotta love, dazed and confused, babe im gonna leave you, and quite a few others are old blues tunes that they changed a bit and covered. Look it up.

  • @pmdnyc I know they did plagiarize some, and although not my favorite band, they did have some good tunes.

    Like this one. haha

  • @dissident93 I agree totally...I love the band and they way they covered great blues tunes..My point was that People here are criticizing the Pilots for covering a Zep tune...people in glass houses should not throw stones.

  • @pmdnyc Yep.

  • @pmdnyc its true Zep took a lot of old blues songs...but to say changed "a bit" is wrong. The songs are almost completley different, except lyrics...i was never a fan of robert plants lyrics anyways. Zep borrows a lot, its true, but the tune that would come out of it would be almost entirley different.

  • @NabeeltheRealDeal Do you realize what you just said? the song is different..except the lyrics...LMAO!!!! THATS STEALING THE SONG!!!!!!!!

  • @pmdnyc And i agreed with that. But if you kept reading, i continued to say the tune, ie the instrumentation Is completley different. the controversy over zep's plagorism is robert plants fault. Jimmy Page even said it in an interview in the 90's, that much of it came from plants unauthentic lyrics.

  • @pmdnyc it ain't like artists never steal songs. Haha, Led Zepplien stole songs too in their day. LMAO. so?!

  • @saraibewildered First of all, it is spelled "ZEPPELIN"...and ..people here are complaining about STP covering a Zep song..People in glass houses should not throw stones. At least the pilots did not try to pass it off as their own composition. You are probably not an artist, or you would understand how wrong it is to take someones creative work and pass it off as your own

  • @pmdnyc hahaha, hotttt fudge, me likey. simmer down damn. just saw them 2 nights ago, and they killed it =) BTW I am an artist.

  • awesome cover

  • @caramelhiggens suck it dude

  • you idiots make no sense

  • @nevermoonawolf try Youtube...look up LED ZEPPELIN EXAMPLES OF PLAGIARISM

  • @caramelhiggens You are a pathetic fuck!!!!! Led Zepppelin was so overrated.

  • this is definitely the best thing the stone temple pilots ever played

  • I, for one, love covers, if they are done with complete respect for the original and done well...as in the case of this STP cover of this Zep great...you guys should check out Pearl Jam doing Who covers for example..My two cents..

  • scott weiland is such a poof.....jeezers

    NOT ENUFF BULLETS

  • this is almost as good as tools cover of no quarter

  • It's so funny because this actually sounds like it'd be a Stone Temple Pilots song instead of a Led Zeppelin song. They did an absolutely awesome job of covering it.

    My two favorite bands :)

  • @MasteroChieftan YES IT DOES. As a rule: I hate covers but this almost sounds more STP than Led Zeppelin. I think this sounds more polished (good) but maybe a bit deliberate sounding.

Dunno if that makes sense but this is one cover I DO like.

  • @MasteroChieftan That may be partly because STP were so influenced by Zep. Great cover.

  • @MasteroChieftan you know you're right haha the chorus is very modern sounding

  • @MasteroChieftan I totally see what ya mean !! I often thought if Led Zepplin existed in the 90's they would have sounded a lot like S-T-P ;-)

  • @MasteroChieftan that's because stp sound like everyone else

  • @MasteroChieftan You have struck the nail squarely on the head

  • @MasteroChieftan exactly. lol it suits them so well. they nailed it.

  • Saw them do this last night in Sydney...ROCKED

  • @emmacat80

Sure did , great show. Still got it.

  • @emmacat80 I got to see them do it in Mississippi back in February...THEY FRICKEN ROCKED DUDE!

  • @emmacat80 This is the best version of the song if you as me.

  • What STP did here is pretty much what a brazilian singer (Rita Lee) did recording Beatles with bossanova arrangements. The old trick of slowing the pace, nothing more.

  • great job STP!! what zep is looking for (CREATIVITY)!!

  • Aribic is good

  • dude, these are hilarious!! download this in downloadmusic .im

  • I love it when I discover a song I love is actually a cover! I love Led Zeppelin but I have to admit I did not know this was their song. Cool.

  • Very nice! I'm trippin balls right now so when the music hits me, it hits me. Constructive critisism ( I can't spell).. I don't care much for the vocals. Not a lot of power in it, it's too soft. But that's just my opinion. You do have a nice voice tho.

  • @saulhudson420: I think the vocals are restrained on purpose and I love it all. It`s perfect.

  • gostei do stone temple pilots, fazendo cover da minha banda favorita

    de rock and roll..led zeppelin

  • pretty fuckin nice...

  • I like this better than alot of STP's originals.

  • @TheFurthur

    Same.

  • @TheFurthur I agree. This is the only new thing Ive heard from them that isn't trash.

  • STP!

  • ***Hey, I checked wiki but couldn't find what album this is on. Any help please????***

  • @wickedlament Encomium: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin. It's not a Stone Temple Pilots album.

  • @wickedlament Encomium: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin

  • mm not bad! Before listening it I thought I was going to hate it xD

  • @ToolandRushfan

Check out Hearts' cover of Battle of Evermore

  • @ToolandRushfan You're gonna disagree with me honestly, but I didn't like that cover. The original No Quarter was just that fucking good. They shoulda picked something else to cover!
