  • Brilliant actor and musician.......Dudley Moore at his best.......R.I.P. Dudley

  • Brilliant!!!

  • If this is 1971 (rather than say, a couple of years before), why is it in B&W? Was it recorded that way to save on colour videotape, or was it for a country which didn't yet have colour TV, such as Australia? Or was it for private consumption? Is there any colour footage at all?

  • One of the most thrilling bossa nova piano perfomances, give us more, MOORE, Dudley. MORE!!!

  • My dear dad used to have quite a few of Dudley's albums, along with Georgie Fame, Gilbert O' Sullivan and Dave Brubeck. It takes me back to the late sixties/early seventies when ever I hear these artists.

  • I miss Dudley

  • Had the honour of seeing this guy live, sadly not with his trio, but still a master musician

  • I'm Bedazzled.

  • thanks so much for posting this. I knew Dud was a good musician - but I hadn't investigated it. IMHO this is truly great - what a player. From that brilliant line at 0.33 I was completely sold. thanks again.

  • Exquisite! I am mad about Dud and quite obsessed with the music he wrote for Stanley Donen's Bedazzled so this is like going to heaven! The video quality is fabulous too - Thank you!!

  • Excelente mùsico Dudley Moore, no conocia esta faceta de el.... excelente JAZZ¡

  • Beautiful

  • So much talent - I am so glad to see so much of his music on YT. I was always a great fan. I hate that he was taken from us.

I have one precious cd of his. Are there more? This is beautiful.

  • thanks for posting this i love the album its from. great to see him playing it live

  • i never knew what a talented musician Dudley Moore was. He was so young and handsome in this clip. I also enjoyed him in Bedazzled............my favorite part of the film was when he and Peter Cook did the black and white music segment. thanks for sharing this. :)

  • Dudley Moore was a joy to the world

  • This is seminal. Thank you very very much. I would love to have the sheet music for this precise version!

  • Hahaha that's great! Arthur!!!!

  • Yeah! Only the smoothest and coolest jazzy tones from the late great Dudley Moore! Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video with us! :)

  • Too beautiful for words...

  • Even with the 70s hair and clothes Dud and the trio look and sound 'cool'. This is the best version of this composition I've heard. Dud is really in the zone on this one, subtle and moody, and I've been listening to his work since the early 1960s. The sound quality of this vid is excellent so many thanks. I just wish he had had time to do more on the musical side of his prodigious talent. I really miss him.

  • @GiorgosRemaga hear hear!

  • WOW - Brilliant find.. x

  • Wow!

  • hey i had no idea clips like this even existed......thankyou so much for posting it !!!!!!

  • Amazing piece of music, what a wondrerfull writer Dudley was

  • Sorry, what DVD is this available on? Is it entirely devoted to the Dudley Moore Trio? I must have it! Is it easy to get hold of?

  • Once again, thank you!

  • This whole DVD is amazing, isn't it?

  • Thank you!

I'm surprised it's perfect quality, wow.

  • Fantastic, thanks for posting this!

This is an instrumental version of the track "Bedazzled", called "Lillian Lust". It's from the Bedazzled soundtrack.

  • The "Jazz On Oz" DVD credits the track as "Bedazzled", so I keep it that way.

"Lilian Lust" seems to be a variation of a main theme, just like "The Millionaire" and the "Bedazzled" track with Peter Cook on vocals.

    Glad you like it!
