If something so tragic as your father passing has to happen and the number is up,, the way everything is happening after the fact is a blessing. The Deadliest Catch is an amazing show, just as Phil Harris was an amazing father, fisherman, and person and will be remembered as such. It's really sad that he's since passed away but I'm thankful we all had the chance to be a part of their life for a few years. It's not everyday that a genuine show with genuine people is broadcasted anymore. I wish the Harris family the best and beautiful seas to you Captain.

Because, unlike other "reality TV" shows, there is no need to "construct" trouble for drama. this IS as real as it gets. If you think they don't either orchestrate or instigate a problem your are nieve. But This and Ice Pilots and Ice Road Truckers.... it's as real as it gets. Deadliest being #1 for real danger.
