What a wonderful way to become a baby...everythings looks so comfy and silent and relaxing. I don't like hospitals at all...especially the screaming nurses "push...puuuush"....i think your bodies know how to act during labor. Well done!!!
I just can't understand how letting your small child watch you give birth is any different than letting him see nudity on TV or a movie! It's just anything goes theese days!
@jhartist123 No. It's completely different, because it's the body that he's seen his whole life, not some random stranger. And watching his younger sibling being born gives him a deeper connection with the fact that it's THEIR baby. He knows where it came from, and who it belongs to.
@jhartist123 its also different because he came out of that body. and technically, he's seen the inside of his mom's uterus, and once you've seen that, you can pretty much see anything (that your mom has).
@jhartist123 I don't see how it's the same at all. I personally wouldn't have my son watch me give birth because I don't think many boys want to grow up with the memory of their mother in the buff. But I don't think it's anything like nudity in movies. Nudity in movies is usually sexual and crude, where-as childbirth is beautiful and natural. Sorry you feel so harshly about it.
@boricubananena7 it didnt take the pain away but it helped to have something i could sit on that moved with my body but i found the hands and knees position to give me the most relief from pain.
thank you for posting! videos like this keep me encouraged to someday have a home water birth! if all I seen were scary hospital births, I probably would never even want a bio child lol
Bahahahaha love the dramatic run past camera. Lol. :) Beautiful. I hope very much to be hypno-birthing in June with our 3rd. I have cd's and been practicing a little.I been practicing using my relaxation to block out pains I get already. Congrats again. :)
@irvingd1 we bought a new hose so it was clean and we had an attachment that went from our laundy tap but we could only do hot or cold at one time so had to keep swapping the hose over. It would take years to fill with hot water from the stove! lol
Inspiring mama! What is that beautiful music you have playing in the background? I'm looking for some meditative sounds for my own birth and I keep listening to your video just for the music. :)
@grinnellphoto The music is called Chakra Suite by Steven Halpern it is the background music to a hypnobirthing soundtrack i listened to during my pregnancy it helped so much to relax me during labour I definately recommend it! Start listening to it now while you rest to prepare for your birth :)
@81shelbay In a hospital delivery, they withhold food because "in an emergency" they want the option of performing a C-section. If you have food in your stomach during surgery, your are at risk for throwing it up and asphyxiating. What your midwife told you is a myth.
@fuzzball1213 it was great he was very brave, he just didnt like it when i made alot of noise i think it scared him a bit but having the midwife there really helped she was great with him :)
My menstrual cramps are like labour pains. Don't think so? They sure as hell knock me out for a few hours. My nurses say it's normal.. but.. I have a high pain tolerance (I fight a lot) and if something like that could knock me out, that's saying something.
This lady is pretty chill about the whole thing. I'd have kids if it weren't for the surreal experience. I hate surreal, it makes me feel like SH..hey, I'll shut up now.
When I went into labour the midwives would not let me eat a thing because she said something about my waters breaking and the baby having no protection 24 and a half hours I went without a thing to eat I was only allowed sips of water.
@81shelbay Thats shocking, you need to be able to eat to give you energy in labour. midwives will say anything to scare you and shut you up. How can eating something cause an infection in the uterus? lol
That's a cool looking birthing pool! This is awesome you documented your labor!!Will be neat to watch when your daughter gets older. Beautiful video! Thanks for sharing.Congrats!!
Thanks so much for sharing this (I can't access part II :-( ). Amazing to see you so relaxed and using your hypnobirthing techniques. I'm preparing myself for a Hypnobabies birth, and your story is wonderfully inspiring and enpowering. A positive birth story! I no longer watch labour and delivery stories of American hospital births because they scare the crap out of me. This is just how birth should be. Well done, thanks again, and congratulations on the birth of your daughter!
This is what I wanted to do but its good i didnt because I ended up having an emergency C section. The doctor told me that if my sons head wouldve made it out then he might have got stuck at the shoulders, got brain damage or even could have died. I believe the water birth naturally relaxes a womans body better though so it may have worked.
Was the high pitched shrill a bird? I would've been so annoyed with that noise while giving birth...or really just at all. But great video and congratulations! (:
Good Work hun!! Im hoping to try homebirth at home for my second one, cant make myself for my 1st lol going to do waterbirth at a maternity unit instead
wow you're a good sport! I was looking like Linda Blair in the exorcist once I started real labor!
