  • LETS GET DANCING NOW TO THE JUKE BOX JIVE!!!!!!

  • this is close to the song im looking for but is not it do anybody know the name of that song it was in a movie at the end of the movie they were dancing and laughing and drove off in the sunset in a old skool car i dnt remember the lyrics its a old song but it sounded like What do you want do do doooo What do you want do do doooo....

  • @SuperRyder33

Hi, I think the movie your thinking of is "Grease", the last song is called "We go together", and Olivia Newton John, John Travolta leave in a Flying Car. Hope this Helps , All the best Shaun

  • @shaun8195 Thank you thats the song im looking for

  • @SuperRyder33

    Your Welcome

  • i love, i love, I LOVE, i love so much!!!!

  • ARE THE RUBETTES GOING TO BE OUR NUMBER ONE THIS YEAR ON XMAS DAY XXXX

  • @pq9r6v3h2x

    Oh, How I hope So

  • Your lyrics are partially wrong, the words actually spoken by John are :

All you gotta do is just to move your feet

Kinda a shake your body to the drivin' beat

It's all so easy and ain't no crime

So come on baby let's do it !

    :-)

It is true that these words never appear on the more than 20 lyrics sites I went to, (I wanted to check !) but they are easily understandable even by a french man like me and I know them since 1974 !

  • 2:18 DUCK FACE

  • I feel I should reassure anyone too young to remember that not everyone dressed like that in the mid 70's !

And to think they probably had someone on the payroll actually advising them to wear that stuff. Scarey !

  • YOU BOYS CAN COME AND DO THE JUKE BOX WITH ME ANY TIME!!!!!! XXXX

  • a lot of 70s bands were seemingly rock and roll 50s influenced eg rubettes darts and showwaddy waddy

  • I like the Rubettes a lot, but the whole idea seems like to be stolen from the 50's group off "Gene Vincent and the blue caps", am i right ??

  • Come on do the Juke Box Jive. Just like they did in 1955....Hooky chorus from a song I was too young to remember (4 years old)

  • 17 tttttteeeeeeeen. xxxx yeahhhhh

  • Great song, great memories.

  • @TheDiddlysquat the more you keep flaming me in public the more stupid you look.... i wouldnt England's Dream of arguing with you regarding Royal Wedding details of which you must be a venerable and noble expert

  • @TheDiddlysquat

Think you are missing the point with the sex pistols and the whole punk movement as a whole. The pistols made a lot of virtue of the fact they couldnt play instruments that well. The influence of punk went beyond the kings road in the mid seventies. Its doubtful that dance music/hip hop would have taken off without punk and its DIY ethic.

  • @TheDiddlysquat i think you just ate your tale you dickhead... go suck on your royal wedding videos that you seem to drool over..... your premise , from your first comment to me was that if a music does well in the UK charts then its a 'successful form of music' ... each to his own then.... people who know & create music know that commerce has fuck all to do with it... now stop typing at me and fuck off ..vacant you are , pretty youre not

  • @TheDiddlysquat AND THE PUNK MOVEMENT LEAD INTO NEW WAVE & THE 80'S ITS CALLED PROGRESS ,NEW RECORD LABELS WERE CREATED AND THEN THE BIGGEST SELLERS WERE THE POLICE [ WHO WERE INSPIRED BY PUNK & REGGAE ] , THE CLASH , DEPECHE MODE, YAZOO, ERASURE, DURAN DURAN.. EURYTHMICS , SPANDAU BALLET, HUMAN LEAGUE, NEED I GO ON? YEAH? THEN INTO THE 90'S... NIRVANA THE BIGGEST ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD WHO WERE A T O T A L P U N K B A N D .GREEN DAY AS WELL.. HAD ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE? YOU BEEN SERVED

  • @triumphadelic well its true that a lot of the protagonists of the punk movement were involved in the new wave/new romantic movement too, especially people like Vivienne Westwood, but the point of the new romantics and new wave is that it was a lot of the same acts who had just reinvented themselves

  • @triumphadelic

Its worth realising that it wasnt just punk but disco also helped to create the new wave sound of the eighties, the likes of georgio morroder and other acts who pioneered the "elcetronic" synth sound that would become the signature sounds of the likes of Eurythmics, Depeche mode, Visage, etc.

  • @SuperSimonuk and Kraftwerk , Can , Bowie etc... another factor is Roland making 'affordable' [ just about ] synthesisers . also Korg etc... OMD's first album was basically written on a Korg 'mail order catalogue' pre-set M500 of which you can see here on youtube if you search and interview ..... new music back then was always a reaction to what had become stale, boring & corporate... Sex Pistols couldnt play? hehe hmmm Matlock formed Rich Kids with Ure & playd bass for Iggy Pop

  • @TheDiddlysquat FACT : God Save the Queen - Sex Pistols The song peaked at number 2 (behind Rod Stewart's "I Don't Want to Talk About It") on the official UK Singles Chart used by the BBC, though there have been persistent rumours—never confirmed or denied—that it was actually the biggest-selling single in the UK at the time, and was kept off number 1 because it was felt that it might cause offence...... THAT QUASHES YOUR HALF-BAKED THEORY THEN... BUT YOU KNOW JACK SHIT ANYWAY ..JOG ON

  • @triumphadelic

I dont think chart positions are really relevant here are they?

its like saying McDonalds food is healthy cos millions of people eat big macs every day

  • The BAY CITY ROLLERS flew the flag all over the world for Great Britain in the 1970's.Check the world's charts from 1975 to 1977 !

  • Do do, do do do do do do.... juke box jive yeah baby!!

  • Shergold bass?

  • beautifull!!!!! alan!!!!! i love you!!!! pxxx

  • I would rather have the music from this era than the trash they call music today.

  • I Love YOU Alan!!!! xx

  • Rubettes ♥♥♥♥

  • you all can do the Juke box Jive any time with me I Love you all xxxx

  • come back boys xxxx

  • This was actually written by Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington who wrote the Majority of their hits,And went on to own the State Record label which The Rubettes recorded for.

  • Do the Juke box Jive thank you for the upload

  • Wow what was i in deeply love on them.....

  • all the glam rock bands had great energy at their peak .. and then punk came long and took the energy levels a notch further and into a new wave of sublime brilliance ...frequent waves of brilliance until another jarring by the Jesus & Mary Chain ...then we were into the realms of Acid House , Nirvana maybe and its been downhill ever since .... over simplified I know but once upon a time TOTP was exciting..bring it back and screen it against Simon Cowell's crap shows on Sat night

  • @triumphadelic dont forget two tone

  • @scooter88100 i wont.... I saw in 1980 The Selector at Middlesborough Rock Garden matinee under 16 show ... kids in pork pie hats going MENTAL ..Holly & The Italians supported

  • you can't put the rubettes in the same categorie ! listen the beat and the guitars , it's one style . never heard of before ...vive les rubettes !!! listen ...

  • ale fajna melodia , super , piękna .

  • De rég volt,de jó volt

  • One of my top 3 Rubettes songs along with Foe dee o dee and I Can Do It. BUT there is another Rubettes song which in my opinion surpasses all 3 of them and is one of my all time bestist songs. It was the B side of Foe dee o dee and is called "With You" It's a pretty little song and unforgettable. :)

  • very nice Video , a lot of memories came back from the Seventies !

  • YAY love it :-)

  • I really want this single I've only hear side one but I think it's brilliant

Tony Waddington and Wayne Bickerton used to be the main composers and singers in the merseysound combo Pete Best combo from liverpool in the mid 60's I adore this aforementioned band and the two fellas tony and wayne they were a dynamic pop duo then already, like diamonds in the rough who truley shined and got what the recognition they deserved as writers and producers of the rubettes and this magnificent hit!

  • 1970's kid heaven... certainly was for Gary Glitter.

  • Rubettes... Mud... Bay City Rollers... Gary Glitter.... The Sweet.... Pilot....Showaddywaddy...

    1970s kid heaven

Not sure about Gary Glitter in hindsight, but I know what you mean!!

  • @fritz5174

The music of today is a bunch of crap! The 70's and 80's were the glory days of pop music. After that period came house and R&B (Rhythm & Blues? Nope, not at all!). I have a large collection of hits from the 70's and 80's and often I remember the good old times...

  • @inlegrial
