Bands are usually never good on Talk shows, because they don't have much practice playing the songs live before hand. On tour is when they have practiced and played it over and over live, and when they fucking shine.

I am a die-hard, bloodthirsty metalhead. My favorite bands include Iron Maiden, In Flames, Slayer and Dimmu Borgir, and I think Alkaline Trio is one of the best bands in the world. Their lyrics carry more meaning than any 10 metal bands. I love these guys and am proud to be from their hometown.

The problem with Good Mourning wasn't the songs because most of them were great. It was too produced. The record is still great. I'm so glad they self-releasing their new record and it's supposed to be a step back from the polished sound of the last two records. I can't wait for it.

in my opinion this is where alk3 really lost their magic. love the song, but the entire image thing isn't something that alk3 needed in order to be amazing and win fans pre-2003. their songs were always dark and bare but without them deliberately trying.

seen these guys probably 5-6 times over the years and i can definitely say they are one of the most amazing bands ever. I wish MICF was forever =(
